Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Music Review
Music Review By Mustafa
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is one of the most awaited movies of 2008 and naturally it’s music has great expectations. Aditya Chopra previous 2 movies Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein had great music and now it’s time for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. So question arises does Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi lives to expectations? Does Salim - Sulaiman is able to match Jatin - Lalit in terms of music in this movie?
“Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai”
This song reminds us of “Tere Liya” from Veer - Zaara basically the feel is of that type. The song is good, but the song is not like that you will like in first hearing itself. The song grows on you with repeated hearing. In Tere Liya Roopkumar Rathod felt the song and sang and sadly in this He couldn’t felt the song. But still it is good effort and Superior singer would have taken this song to another level.
“Haule Haule”
This is song is that you listen and it draws you. It is know fact when Sukhwinder Singh sings for Shah Rukh Khan the song is chartbuster for sure. This song is defintely a chartbuster and Shah Rukh Khan look and performance in that song is just to great. Lyrics by Jaideep Sahni is very good. Defintely one of the best track of the year.
“Dance Pe Chance”
Dance Pe Chance is another chartbuster and the picturistion will take this song further. Sunidhi Chauhan as usual is spot on. The lyrics for the song is funny as the song requires that feel.
“Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte”
This song is completely situational. A typical Sonu Nigaam style song which he has sung well as usual. The song will be liked more on screen than long drive and the Special Apperances by Kajol Devgan, Rani Mukherjee and Priyanka Chopra will enhance this song further.
“Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai”
The female version by Shreya Ghoshal has more feelings to the song and leaves mark. But still I will say the song grows on you after repeated hearing.
“Dancing Jodi”
It is good mixture of all songs and might be used in end credits.
Conclusion
Overall the music of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is good not exceptional as the case with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein. “Haule Haule” has that magic of “Tujhe Dekha” or “Humko Humein Se Chura Lo” but other songs will look good if sceen on screen. But overall good try and it should be apprecaited and “Haule Haule” itself makes this album worth a money.

I think i am a bit different from others in the sense that you said tuj me rab diktha will be liked in 2/3 hearings but i loved teh first time heard it. I dont agree with you on what you said about roop kumar’s not feeling the song (tuj me rab diktha hai)…i think he feels it thats why we like this song…and mark my words that this song will become one of the best songs in SRK’s career and in the histroy of indian cinema. The rest of the review is fine.

i really loved all d songs.they r really a special treat 2 all music lovers.however i really think dat if d song sung by roop kumar rathod had been sung by ATIF ASLAM IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EVEN MORE SOULFUL N CERTAINLY MORE MELODIOUS.I READ SOME OTHER REVIEWS N MANY FIND DAT D SONG SUNG BY ROOP KUMAR RATHOD WOULD HAV BEEN BETTER IF ANOTHER SINGER HAD SUNG IT.I TRULY THINK THAT ATIF ASLAM WOULD HAV BEEN GREAT N MUCH MUCH BETTER

roopkumar rathod has missed it by mile. shreya ghoshal’s 1 min has more feelings even if roop sings it for 2.5 hours.
