JAIPUR: How often does it happen that your looks inspire a whole generation to follow your footsteps, not unless you are a Bollywood star? After Shah Rukh Khan’s six-pack abs, it’s  Aamir Khan’s latest look in Ghajini (not yet released) over which youngsters are going completely gaga. And guess who’s making the most of it: the Pink City gyms.As soon as the promos of Ghajini hit the TV screens, city gyms saw the young brigade making a beeline to pump up their muscles to acquire Aamir’s ‘killer’ looks.

“After the promos of the film appeared on TV, there has been a rise in the number of youth hitting the gyms. There has been around 20% increase already showing up in the city gyms,” says Raghuveer Singh Rathod, a fitness trainer.

Though winter may be the best season to follow a fitness regime, most of the fitness centre witnesses a drop in turnout every year due to the cold weather, he added.

“Aamir looks so natural that it surely inspired me to go in for that kind of fitness. I have joined a gym this week and will workout till the time I build up those Aamir-like biceps and abs,” says Ritesh Choudhary, an ardent fan Aamir fan.

“During this time of the year, the number of the clients coming to gyms generally drop to 60% due to the chill in the air. But this time around, there has been an unusual increase.

It’s mostly the young guys and, I must say, fans of Aamir Khan,” says fitness expert Ajay Singh Charan. The looks of stars like Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan have always created ripples among those who find body-building a passion in itself, Charan said.

“Aamir Khan’s transformation from the boy next door to a hunk is awe-inspiring. This certainly is inspiring the youth to take up the fitness mantra,” says Dr Rakesh Yadav, a psychiatric consultant
