Mumbai, Nov 6, 2008: Finally there is some hope of rapprochement between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Even till a fortnight ago there didn’t seem any hope that the two leading Khans of India’s film industry will be able to make up and there will ever be normalization of relationship between the two, things have changed much.

Bollywood is a different world altogether. Here everything seems to be make believe. Even fights and disputes too seem to be make believe. Till just a few weeks ago Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan vowed that they will never be able to make up again.

The two had come close to fighting physically in the birth day party of Katrina Kaif a few months ago and since then Bollywood seems to have been divided between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan camps.

King Khan in an interview recently said, “He’s a wonderful guy, his family is wonderful, I really like them. I respect everyone.”

His recent comment is somewhat different from what he had said a few weeks ago. SRK had said: :It’s ok. There is not much in common between us, we think differently. We have spent time together. But with time the facts have got blurred.”

When asked if there was any chance of a reconciliation he added: “We are happy in our worlds. If we come together it is good. If we don’t it’s even better. . We are not friends but that doesn’t imply we are enemies.”

He added though: “I think like a father, while Salman thinks like a child.”

Before SRK’s claims Salman had also spoken out. He said: “Yes there is a problem. But it is no big deal. Problems do occur in everybody’s lives.If after 18 years of friendship something happens then it does not mean a lot.”

Salman Khan when asked in an interview to a national daily though did not say anything about the fight on Katrina Kaif’s birthday party but said, “Shah Rukh and I will never patch up”.

When asked about his and Salman Khan’s verbal duel he said, “It is totally unfair to label it as a war. We are different individuals and have different perspectives”.

The two actors are of the same age. Both were born in the year 1965. Though Salman Khan made his debut in Bollywood a few years earlier than Shah Rukh Khan, SRK went on to become a more celebrated star than Salman Khan.

Salman Khan was on his way to become a superstar even before Shah Rukh Khan landed a role in Bollywood.

Sallu made his debut with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi that was released in 1988, he gave a super hit of a new genre with his super duper hit Maine Pyar Kiya in the year 1989.

Shah Rukh Khan who began his acting career from television majored to Bollywood with his debut film Deewana in 1992. the film was a huge success and gave the Khan a place in filmdom where family and kinship play a major role.

Their latest fight may well go on to divide the Indian film fraternity like never before. Shah Rukh Khan has a major influence in Indian film industry not only as an actor, but producer. He has also one of the best production and post production center with state of the art machinery.

But this will not bode well for the Indian film industry and it should come to an end as soon as possible. window.google_render_ad();
