RAB NE BANA DI JODI MUSIC REVIEW BY RAHUL N. Singh

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi: Music Review!

Hi Everyone, this is the exclusive review for the music of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The music is composed by Salim-Sulaiman. The movie is produced by Yash Chopra and directed by Aditya Chopra. We eagerly await to see Anushka Sharma who debuts in this film. Most of all it stars the biggest Superstar and the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan.

Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hain - Part 1.
Starts with a lovely melody. One has to praise Roop Kumar Rathod is amazing from the start, he does not dissapoint and he carries the song brilliantly. A full on romantic track with an amazing beat. The lyrics are simply describing his love and compares it to God. It has a sufi feeling to it. The words are simply beautiful. Indian instruments are used and you appreciate that, it is very soothing for the ears and mind. In the middle and the end, Roop Kumar Rathod sings ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ it is full of soul and is so warming for the heart. The song straight away leaves a mark and you even start singing to the words. I cannot wait to see how SRK emotes and acts in this song.

Haule Haule
This is the song that was heard in the promo. Once you hear the full version, you love it even more. You get surprised on how good the song gets, the way it progresses. Again, simple lyrics. It describes how someone feels in love, the exact feeling you get is that you want to shout that you are in love from the rooftops. This song makes me jump with joy and it does make me want to express my love. The music flows very naturally. Again, this carries an indian feeling to it and you appreciate that this is keeping it simple. Vocally, Sukhwinder Singh’s voice is outstanding as usual.

Dance Pe Chance
Sunidhi Chauhan starts and her singing is soulful as usual. This is a foot-tapping song and is easily a song, that I would dance to in a party or a club. Labh Janjua compliments with the punjabi vocals very well and is great to hear. This song is about giving yourself the chance to dance. The music is amazing and is a definite chartbuster. I cannot wait to see how SRK-Anushka dance to this. It will be great to see.

Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte.
This is a great song, it starts brilliantly. This is the very song that features 5 actresses. This reminds me of all the great songs of the past. It holds a nostalgic feeling. Lyrics are obviously great and no complaints there as they are simple. Salim-Sulaiman have integrated all the songs and have still left their mark to it. I must say it is difficult to do but they did it brilliantly. the song has been constructed so well and it is easily can be called a masterpiece. Sonu Nigam leaves his mark with this song. This is a great tribute for cinema and thank you Adi for putting this song in the film. Again, this song will be about the picturisation.

Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hain- Part 2.
This is the female version rendered beautifully by Shreya Ghoshal. The song is for less than two minutes but you do appreciate how a woman should appreciate the man infront of her. This is the exact same for a man, he should appreciate the woman infront of her and that was the message in the first part. Both parts want you to realise how important it is to tell your lover that you love them.

Dancing Jodi
A remix version of the songs. This could easily be a club favourite. Starts with ‘Dance Pe Chance’ and then moves onto ‘Haule Haule’ and then to ‘Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hain’. They follow each other smoothly and elegantly. When ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ is rendered in the remix, it gels so well! Again, a potential chartbuster.

Conclusion
All songs are worth being chartbusters. Infact this album is a chartbuster. It is a very diverse album and thank God, all the lyrics to the songs are simple and compliment the music really well. The lyrics all have a meaning and there is no silliness in them. The music is full of soul and substance and have kept to an indian touch. I feel that this is personally one album is for the romantics and it does hold a universal appeal. In fact, it is simplicity that is the key factor in the album. If Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na had ‘Pappu Can’t Dance’ then Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has ‘Dance Pe Chance’. This will make everyone dance on the dancefloor. Go on everyone and dance. Then we have ‘Haule Haule’ which gives us the feeling to shout out our love story from the rooftops. ‘Tujh Mein Rab Dikhte Hain’ is the song that you just want to look into the eyes of your loved one and say ‘I love you!’

I cannot rate this album. It is a classic in the making, it deserves to be a classic. It is officially my favourite album of the year. The songs leave you thirsty for the picturisations of them. If the songs are brilliant, the expectations for the movie is only higher. The fact is since the lyrics have content, we can safely assume that the movie has content too.

For those that want to see what I would rate it, I will rate it for you. If you want me to be harsh just like Simon Cowell then it is a 8/10. If you want me to be me then it is a 10/10. Well done to Salim-Sulaiman, to the singers, to the producers and most of all to Aditya Chopra! Everyone go and buy this album, it is worth it!

Lots of love,
Rahul N. Singh
