RAB NE BANA DI JODI MUSIC REVIEW BY DON

Haule Haule:
(SUKHWINDER SINGH)
A simple person expressing his love for a lady in a simple manner with a punjabi touch in it. Lyrics should be kept simple and thats what Jaideep Sahni did and he did a great job. The tune catches you at once and you start singing on that. Sukhwinder Singh as usual give you his best. I have thoughts that will he carry to such sweet simple song? Will he control the enthusiasm in his singing? Yes. He did and did in a brilliant way.
Tujh Mai Rab Dikhta Hai(Male Version):
(ROOP KUMAR RATHOD)
A song that come after a time which much soul in it. It touches you to the bottom of your heart with its sweet charming lyrics and classic music touch. Again Jaideep Sahni kept things simple. No difficult use of words be it urdu or hindi because the guy who is singing is from Punjab and will obviously use simple words. Roop Kumar Rathod, you expect a soulful singing when this name comes in front.I have always loved his songs and one more entry in the list is this track.
Tujh Mai Rab Dikhta Hai(Female Version):
(Shreya Ghoshal)
One minute odd song which brings you the sheer touching voice of Shreya Ghoshal and she left impression on whole album with just 1 minute odd song. Nothing to say on lyrics and music because its on the same line as male version.
Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte:
(Sonu Nigam)
We already knew that it will be a tribute to yesteryear stars. So, i was hoping same mix lyrics song. Sonu sang his most difficult number till date. With so much variations in the song which was needed he brings you the fast track of this album in purely a different way in respect of other songs. No one can sing this song better than him. Kudos to him.
Lyrics of old films were used in such a manner that you find it interesting. Music was brilliantly use, i felt dancing on the beats and it will surely depict on the screen. Some people may love it after its video come on but i just loved this track. If you forget that old lyrics has been used, you will love the song.
Dance Pe Chance:
(Sunidhi Chouhan and Labh Januja)
These type of songs never click me or you can say click at once, same thing happened here, it clicked but late after several listenings. It could be called one of the weakest track but will be surely applauded among dance lovers and disco lovers. The remix style is very good and the music though very contrast to other tracks is good enough to get a good place in people listings.
On the whole, there is no dull moment in the album. No a single let down as per the story of the film goes. Simple lyrics with heart touching soulful music. I never expected such good album from Salim-Suleiman duo. I remember i said the same to my friends that they may be not the good choice but i think i was wrong. They give you the classical touch, punjabi touch and music of yesterday in one album in a different yet applaudeable way. You may love it late but will surely love it.
Even if i go harsh according to the movie story and genre i would give it
8/10
And if you take it as a music point of view(forget the story of the movie) its
7/10

Couldnt agree more with don…and one more thing that should be kept in mind while listening the album is that this is a simple movie…so the music has been kept very simple…and thats why it may take a little time getting used to…but simplicity will always prevail…in this case just wait to see SRK on screen with the songs…i m sure this album will also be a BIG success….

Don,
First of all, I like the writing style of your review. Very nicely done!
So now do I agree with your review or not? I do agree and you do highlight how the lyrics are special and at the end when you considered the ratings, you kept in mind firstly about the movie and then about it just musically.
I can’t see anything wrong with your review to be honest! I must applaud you for you conclusion though. You wrote that like a master!
I prefer your review than the one done by IndiaFM!

Hey Don, great music review! I am yet to hear the songs but it seems the album will be a rocking one. Looking forward to the song ‘Tujhme Rab Dikhta Hai’. I loved Roopkumar Rathod’s voice in the song ‘Tere Liye’ (VEER-ZAARA).
Great work!

Don
You are a little harsh in your judgement, but I undertsand you are trying to be defensive and do not wish to allow people to claim that you are biased. Hence, overall I see you tried being extremely fair, even at the expense of being a little harsh.
Good review.

i really loved all d songs.they r really a special treat 2 all music lovers.however i really think dat if d song sung by roop kumar rathod had been sung by ATIF ASLAM IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EVEN MORE SOULFUL N CERTAINLY MORE MELODIOUS.I READ SOME OTHER REVIEWS N MANY FIND DAT D SONG SUNG BY ROOP KUMAR RATHOD WOULD HAV BEEN BETTER IF ANOTHER SINGER HAD SUNG IT.I TRULY THINK THAT ATIF ASLAM WOULD HAV BEEN GREAT N MUCH MUCH BETTER.
