Aamir’s Ghajini is no Memento remake?
While most people are shouting themselves hoarse about Ghajini being the re-make of South film Ghajini , which in-turn is touted to be the re-make of Christopher Nolan’s Memento , the filmmaker and the cast, claim that this Hindi film isn’t an exact ‘remake’!
First, they claim it’s not Memento at all. And if it’s a remake of the Tamil film, spokespersons say that the script has been changed and alterations made to make it ‘a product of its own’. “Yes, the premise of the South film and this Ghajini may be the same, the actress and director may be the same, too, but just because you’ve watched the South version, you haven’t seen it all. This Hindi film offers something new and exclusive, too,” we’re told, “And the film surely has nothing to do with Memento .”
Actor Aamir Khan bulked up his body for his role in this film. Rigorous workouts and a planned diet allowed him to realise his goal within a year’s time. “Actually, I was busy even with the post-production of Taare Zameen Par ‘ while readying myself for the role and my look. It took a toll on me, it was stressful, but once I realized it was a mind game more than a body game, I knew how to deal with it,” said Aamir, who unveiled the first look of the 60-seconder trailer of Ghajini to the media, on the auspicious day of Diwali.

You are right, from the teaser we can see that it is no Momento remake. Sitting through Gajini’s promo, for a moment I thought Amir was trying to giggle his Man Boobs like Mumtaz to the beat of “Duniya Mein..Loogon Ko…Dhoka Kabhi Ho Jata Hai” (from Apna Desh Staring Rajesh Khanna & Mumtaz). Perhaps Gajini is a remake of Apna Desh with Amir playing Mumtaz.
But, Momento was Momento, because of its unique narration, take that away, and Momento will fall flat. Hence, if Amir has just “copied” Momento’s story or worse “South Indianize” it, then it is a Lil C’s Daraaouna and or Big B’s Aaag waiting to happen.
Poor Amir, he has risen to his level of incompetence.

Dont worry Shaan, if there is the ace/king khan Aamir khan, there is nothing to worry; it might have been like those southindian films if it had srk but it will not with Aamir in it

Aamir in true commerical movie had always fall flat, he does well when he underplays himself, Aamir belief’s that Memento would be complex for bollywood audience is true. Bt we rather expect him with better quality than a south indian remake.
I still belive that Ghajini required no Aamir, Salman khan with his audience would have been a better decision
Now this proves that Aamir khan likes to gimmick, the only reason he did ghaijni bcoz to earn apperication with his look & hard work that he has done for this character. Well MR. AAMIR KHAN we would happy if you prove this with your acting skills
Aamir in ghajini will prove his shortcoming as actor, I bet his performance wouldnt be any comparision with Surya (from Tamil Version of ghajini)
From the promos what i got, Aamir was truly dissappointing
In both First Part & Second part, i think he failed
In First He failed to carry the look of INDIA’S BEST BUSSINESS MAN (AMONG THE TOPS), and on second half he should be looking confused bt rather he have sunny deol ka gussa ! dats not convicing

It’s a copy of Memento. Just becoz he included some beautiful surroundings and a focus on their love story doesn’t change the story. Those written lines on body are still there which defined Memento.

Amir is disappointing and very tricky, he is living in fools paradise by thinking about his packs wacks….
Actually Salman is better in a sense that he is an open enemy but Amir is a cheating one, because apparently ppl think that Amir is friend of SRK, but actually by pretending freind he keeps making fun and humiliating SRK, and again living in fools paradise that ppl will not understand his wicked tricky games..Well, not everyone is as ……. as Amir is…..
Oh, ya, I forgot if Amir can’t take care and can …….his own brother so what is poor SRK..??????

Ya Aksfilmi, srk should’ve played bussinessman becoz he is a better bussinessman than actor
And secondly, according to you, he needed to shout “HAEEEEEEEEEEEEE…….. like sunny right
