Songs delay BILLOO BARBER to Feb 2009

Just recently we had broken the news that Priyadarshan’s BILLOO BARBER may actually release next year. The news has indeed turned out to be true, but for an altogether different reason and quite unlike what is being publicized.A source close to the unit reveals that BILLOO BARBER, featuring Irrfan Khan in the title role and Shah Rukh Khan in an extended special appearance, will now release in February 2009. The reason is very simple. Some of the songs of the film are still to be picturised and after that the entire post-production and patchwork shooting remains.It is for the above mentioned reasons that the release of the film is just not possible this year. The source laughed off rumours about re-shooting and said that it is out of question as the producer Shah Rukh Khan and the director, Priyadarshan are extremely confident of the film.Well, that should end the debates and the speculations regarding the release date of BILLOO BARBER!
