The question doing the rounds in the trade lately is will Rab De Bana Di Jodi release in the cinemas of Pakistan on the 12th December. Singh Is Kinng has shown how big of a territory Pakistan can be, it is bigger than all the circuits in India apart from Mumbai, Delhi and Punjab.
Akshay Kumar is a huge star in Pakistan and second only to Shahrukh Khan who is a rage in the country. If Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was to open in Pakistan it would be the first Shahrukh Khan film to release there and the hysteria that it will cause will be like nothing ever seen before even in India.
There has been no film from the YRF banner that has been released in Pakistan simultaneously with its release in India but this film would be a great way to start as it will shatter all records.

3-SIK was a punjabi typo film which worked in Pakistani Punjab sector.
4-Today Industry In Pakistan is making punjabi films so they r attached to it.
5-Indian Films just started.
6-Article clearly say NO SRK MOVIE IN PAKISTAN yet….Bhootnath was not SRK film….!!!

i am pakistani but study in london and i spent my semester holidays in pakistan and in octuber i return back to london .in Lahore there is only one cinema where family’s can go to watch movies i.e DHA cinema Lahore .In my home except my big bro where one love SRK .IN bhootnath he has only 5 min scenes but my most of friends here and family member in lahore,multan and even Karachi went to see only SRK.i bet u if Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Release In Pakistan. it will worlds Biggest BLOCKBUSTER remember this.i saw RACE,Kismat KOnnectin ,SIK in DHA cinema .But only in RACE ther was huge crowd not in rest of the movies.IN WHICH PLACE DO U LIVE RIZWAN

First of all guys i just want to say i went to the unforgettable concert in london! one word. UNFORGETTABLE!

anyway let me clarify what i said…..
1) he was in BHOOTNATH. he was in the film for atleast 30mins! Its funny how JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM becomes an AB film when he is only in it for 1 song. Uet SRK was in bhootnath for atleast 30mins. He had a role, it was not a special appearance in a song. Yes i agree the film had no hype because it was released SUDDENLY on one friday as it was not clear if it would release.
2) SRK only appeals to the urban audience, i myself am from pakistan but live in london. Ive been back many times and i can say with 100% certainty that SRK films are a NO NO in villages and rural areas. Akshay Kumar is anyday more popular than him. Comedy and action films where there are fights and revenge RULE these areas. SIK has become a blockbuster because the common man on the street can relate to HAPPY SINGH. SRK characters like “rahul” only appeal to URBAN audiences in big cities. A rickshaw rider will have no connection with a “rahul”. SRK film RDBDJ will be a hit in pakistan but will NEVER beat the collections of SIK in lahore. Quote me on this. In Pakisatan there is a film called MAULA JATT. Rubbish film, rubbish script, UGLY hero, no story. LOUD AND TRASH, but yet remains pakistans most succesfull film. WHY??? ACTION, FIGHTS, REVENGE, DIALOUGES. who saw this film. RURAL AUDIENCES!

Do you know how most people watch movies? Pirated. The theaters in the villages might not be all filled up, because they are all watching movies illegally.
I don’t know about Pakistan much. But Last Year I visited Karachi when Om Shanti Om was Released All Over except Pakistan and the Craze in Karachi of Om Shanti Om was Double Compared to Craze of Om Shanti Om in Mumbai or Delhi. Which only shows that Shah Rukh Khan Popularity is huge in Pakistan.
As for Rizwan Comments that Shah Rukh Khan is not Popular in Villages of Pakistan is useless talk. In Villages people don’t have money to feed themselves, so how they will go watch Movies. Main income come from Cities, Villages only contribute 2 or 3% to a Movie Business. So if He is not Popular to 2 or 3% it doesn’t make any difference. Main thing is Cities and His Popularity is huge there which I have witnessed myself, so on that nobody can argue me.

You don’t have any Proof that Shah Rukh Khan is not Pan Indian Star. Shah Rukh Khan Last 3 Films Don - The Chase Begins Again, Chak De! India and Om Shanti Om were All India Hits. Which Proofs that Shah Rukh Khan is Pan Indian Star.
And as for your saying that Amitabh Bachchan is Pan Indian Star, what difference did that make. Inspite of All Indian Pan Star according to you still He had No Solo Blockbuster and No Solo All Time Blockbuster to show. Which Proofs that He was not Pan Indian Star as you say.
Even when Bachchan was at his peak, Dharmji was a bigger star in small centres. Amitabh was more popular in metroes (not Delhi though)

SRK is also a big star in the interiors. Most of his hit films are hits in both urban centres as well as rurals. His billboards are as much in rural areas as in the urban. He has done campaigns for Polio Immunisations by the GoI (the TG is obviously the rural people). It proves he is also very popular in rural areas.
The only star among the top 5 who has almost no fan base in the interiors is Aamir Khan. See his filmography, most of his hits are only urban hits.
Bottom line is….
AB is nothing in the cities and in the interiors.
