A. 1. Gadar 2. Dhoom2 3. Om Shanti Om 4. Singh Is Kinng (Probable) 5. Welcome. If Singh Is Kinng does not manage 42-43 crore all India share than the order is Gadar, D2, Om Shanti Om, Welcome and Lago Raho Munnabhai.

A. The film should open very well and be a big success. The film may well be Ajay Devgan’s biggest hit ever.

Q. Why does the industry give so much importance to first week business with trade analyst comments like ”today business is all about opening, open well and the job is done”
A. The first week gives the best shares for distributors. Singh Is Kinng’s first week gross of 44 crore gave a share of 26 crore and Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’s total gross of 54.50 crore gave a share of 26 crore. From the third week if a film is multiplex dominated distributors are recieving less than 40% of the nett gross while in week one it is 50%. The more you get in week one the better it is, by 2010 you will see big films dominate big multiplexes completely in week one with 40+ shows a day. Business is all about first week today, if a big film losses first week business it is near impossible to get it back in terms of shares. Lower cost films have a chance as they do not need huge shares to earn.

Q. Hrithik Roshan is perhaps one of the best actors that Bollywood has, however with his “one film every one or two years trend, is it possible for him to ever become the king of bollywood? Would you consider him to be on the level of stars like Akshay Kumar or SRK when it comes to stardom?
A. He will find it hard to be top of pile if he continues to do few films.

yeah agreed with BOI that he has to do atleast 2 films an year for continuously ruling bollywood like srk used to do in mid 90’s but the other side of the coin is that doing less number of films helps as fans are even more excited to see the film and pile up in huge numbers in theaters(which also explains the reason why all his recent films opened to records;
as far as JA is concerned,it opened quite well[25 cr] considering the bans across various parts of india and multiplex issues in 1st week and of course the genre.)
