Bachna Ae Haseeno Below The Mark ,Singh Is King drops
Bachna Ae Haseeno opened below the mark in the International markets. In the UK it grossed 80 lakhs, in North America it accumulated a decent 1.35 crore and the rest of the world added another 1.40 crore taking its three day total to 4 crore.
God Tussi Great Ho is poor with a 1.20 crore total from all overseas markets.
Singh Is Kinng dropped in its second weekend in the overseas markets (Pakistan was super strong) but due to huge grosses in first week it has emerged a superhit as it hits 24 crore business in 10 days. In UK it has grossed 7.50 crore, North America has added 8.50 crore and the rest of the world another 8 crore.

max would be 20 cr makes it to 63 cr…..n OSO was 65 cr i remember..it did 25 cr business in its 2nd week…n guess what i was saying @ time of release of SIk…dats its a targeted film n it comes out as same..just steady in north/up….

that means its a no.1 week breaking records only and not the totaal…the big issue is:would that affect Akki next release? or would ppl go to theatres to watch this the kind of rubbish he come with everytime??
n nett gross @ the end will decide the winner among SIK n OSO….in over all…..
BAH doing below the mark buisness will teach YRF a lesson about promoting films….they cant pomote to save films from flopin’ :@
BAH will be a decent hit for sure i guess…18 cr budget will be recovered in first week n no big release next 2 weeks will save it too….
IMFRZ was clinging on to this sad hope that SIK will fall short of OSO opening record.
He has a little HOPE….i told him his hope will be shattered when BOI release the first week figure.

true don but still if YRF start to promote their films properly then it will recover costs and earn much better from first 3 days…
don_monsoor…you are bang on target…SIK will score 19-21 cr nett in india in 2nd week at the most.This is evident from a simple calculation….during 1st weekend SIK collected 29 cr nett in india(as per BOI)…and 43.77 cr nett in india being its 1st week total,following same logic..since it earned 14 cr nett in india in 2nd weekend… SIK should earn 21 cr (43.77/29*14)nett in india in 2nd week.(Actually SIK will earn much less than 21 cr due to its massive drop all over india) That makes SIK crawl to 64 cr in 2 weeks…short of OSO 65 cr nett in 2 weeks itself…how can it touch total nett 86.5 cr in india of OSO???..picture abhi baki hai dost …dilli bahot door hai….
rizwan,…..there is always hype from BOI for a movie with big stars…since they are distributors themselves…SIK was supposed to collect not less than 50 cr nett in india in 1st week as per BOI earler..similarly JTYJN was supposed to break Maine pyar kiya record total as per BOI.
But ultimately,BOI presents true picture and displays facts.As per BOI, JTYJN should end at 55 cr nett in india(not even half of Maine pyar kiya total nett with inflation adjusted)..similarly SIK has massive drop almost all over India after 2nd weekend barring of course Punjab,Rajasthan etc.
Rizwan they r already released 43.7 with 40% more prints! more hype created with controversies….targeted simple punjabi audience like u can see its only steady in north…..!!!

SIK will not be there until 10 or 12…may be in punjab it will reach 12 or so..!!
SIK still only manage to break 1st week record by just 3.7 cr with 40% more prints which should be at least 57 cr or if u take in minor sense atleast 50 cr nett…n after such huge start of 29 cr nett weekend u always expect better if the lead cast has star power and a quality cinema behind..but here it lacks…!
so where the star power of akki gone????
he n vipul should think of some more controversies…..!! should target one or 2 more celebs in the movie to hype more…

hey guyz we have to keep in mind that om shanti om was released with saawariya.And saawariya was also a huge movie.Saawariya collected around 20 crores in its first week with huge publicity.And sing is king was realeased alone with no competiton.If om shanti om was realeased alone it would have collected around 55 crores atleast with 40 percent less prints than sing is king……..
I watched the film Singh Is King….it was ok..I can see on IndiaFm.com why there are negative user reviews…people expected alot more

After so much Shouting on Singh is Kinng Taran Adarsh has just Rated it Hit 2nd Weekeend Midweek Compared to Dhoom 2 and Om Shanti Om which were Rated Blockbusters in 2nd Weekeend Midweek. Just proves that inspite of Creating Opening Week Records the Movie is Struggling for Super Hit Status.
SIK would end up at 70-75 cr bracket.It would be not a achievement for AK because OSO released with 40 % less prints than SIK and SIK has to collecet 40 % more collection that is approx 120 cr to level with OSO.
So all these stuff of terming Akshy as new king doesnt hold any ground.
I watched the film Singh Is King….It was very good but Bachna Ae Haseeno a typical indian movie.
