Well before i start something, i would like to request all anti SRK to please read it and read it with mind not with hatred you have for SRK.

Check this Video…
SRK was not shown anywhere in the film. BIG B interview was not recorded but his Picture was there but SRK picture was not even there. At the other han Rediff.com editor’s poll nominated SRK as one of the pride of India. Now its clear cut that its a media lobby. In the same video you will see SIK’s Akki and his Prod/Direction whoever he was infront of SIK poster, now thats what we call cheap publicity(now u will talk about that match with SRK shirt.! u can do it lolz).
one more article i read was SRK enemy is SALMan’s friend. One More Proof.
Everyone is using SRK name to promote their film whether friend or enemy. Directly or Indirectly.

I think ur taking things too far away. Can’t u see that Aamir and Salman are also featured in this. If SRK is not featured in the documenatry song, why is it pinching you? Now don;t say that the poeple who all featured in this have a hand in all this. SRK of late has been keeping a low profile (after salman spat), and plus he has not been in the news also because of his work. All those who have featured are in the news currently, like aamir for accepting award for TZP, Salman for his next release, AB for the record breaking Unforgettable tour, Akshay for SIK, Abhinav Bindra for winning the gold medal….They are just trying to show the recent achievements of different people and co-relating it with India’s success. What’s wrong? I can show u many articles which do not feature AB or and Akshay, yet we have have never been insecured because of all this like you. I can appreciate ur love for SRK, but i certainly don’t believe in the kind of sympatchy ur trying to invoke for SRK here. Infact he is the Media’s famous and most loved poster boy and everyone knows this. Media would be the last one to be enemies with SRK here as they both need each other.
So just don’t correlate senseless things. Learn to appreciate other’s successes like Akki in SIK…He is current flavour of the season and he has proved that by breaking all records of OSO so far. I think u guys are having diffculty in accepting his success and his comparison being at par with SRK today. Come on accept that there can be 2 or more than 2 successful people in their own ways and all at par to each other. I don’t understand one thing which is…why are SRK fans not able to digest his equal standing with anybody else when the whole world is saying so???
Here i have a feeling that you all can’t digest the fact….that of SRK surpassing him (which was obviously never possible) and ur hopes being dashed. It’s not a joke what SRK, AKKI, or Aamir or a hrithik have achieved….and u guys should also accept that not everyone can become a Amitabh Bachchan. That’s why people worship Amitabh Bachchan.

I think thay are feeling thoroughally insecured for SRK more than him, Vijay. And they know that it would be difficult for SRK to beat Akki now as he has shown his versatility and SRK’s new film again talks about the old wine in a new bottle i.e. 40 yr old romancing a teenage girl.
I have a gut feeling although i have not read the story line anywhere, i swear, but the plot would certainly be some thing like this…Firl about to get married to some one else but in the end, SRK will marry her…..And i am DEAD sure about this 3rd angle thing….This has to be there.

people in germany knows SRK and know Amitabh only from SRK movies..SRK is the King overseas..ppl orginally-not-indian only knows SRK..local european channels only put SRK movies when they put indian movies AND NO OTHER STAR..if ppl talk about indian cinema around the world..the biggest name got mentioned is SRK..SRK is the one who took indian cinema outside india…

But now look what has happened 35 yrs hence….We all are talking about the legend BIG B but forget the contributions of Rajesh Khanna, so much so that the fans of romantic stars of today namely SRK feel humiliated to get hiself compared to Rajesh Khanna and mind u…RK was a big shot in his times…But that’s destiny….Whether history is going to repeat itself is something which only time can tell as this time…..the wheels of fortune involve existing KING, SRK with the new proclaimed KING, Akshay Kumar….
SRK fans are saying similar things about Akshay….”he can do only comedy”".. I wonder whether Akshay’s fans are also saying that “SRK can do only romance”…
Whatever the case, Akshay’s becoming BIG in last 2 years or not, the fact is that he has become BIG….The fact is that he is younger to SRk, be it even 4 years. Fact is he has proved himself in action, comedy and romance (in dhadkan). Fact remains that the person has humility in him and is well grounded. He is not the one who demands KINGLY status, he commands it…Akshay Kumar who’s not arrogant at all and does not even have a reputed banner/s backing him up. YET HE IS ALSO KING….

Can you please tell us why the fans will feel insecure for SRK, why? What reason for? And what made you say so? So, it means we are justified in saying this that you Akshay fans are feeling immensley insecure about him, this is why you all are trying to crown him with fake king title, which doesn’t fit on his head, because it has become big. But Salman Khan ( before his spat with our lovely SRK ) Hrithik, Amir Khan or SRK none of their heads got bigger, so they are still befitting in their place. Sorry, we have to say this, because you all are counting only and only 2007 for this so called par excellence actor.

I really dont see the point in all these. So SIK has opened big, it has broken the opening week record in bollywood, which coincidentally belonged to a SRK starer. Like i mentioned in an earlier post, SIK isnt going to trend well enough for it break the highest gross record, case in point are the ridiculously high number of prints and the humongous opening, no film will be able to sustain that kind of collection over the following weeks after its release and to make it a little tough for SIK, BAH is also coming out today and this looks like a film that will finally reverse the fortune of YRF films.
And regarding who is the king of bollywood, these are all just titles created by the media and bestowed upon an actor who is incidentally doing well for himself at that point in time. i highly doubt Akshay and SRK walk around in their homes asking their family and friends to refer to them as “The King”?!! But if you are asking who’s the no: 1 star in hindi cinema right now? Akshay has been going through an extremely purple patch of late, his films in the last couple of years have all been doing extremely well and he has slowly but surely risen the ranks of bollywood. But can he be crowned no: 1? maybe… some day in the future. but as of now… its still SRK who would get my vote as the top star. irrespective of BOI’s claims… i believe SRK is the only actor or star if you may in India today who appeals to the audiences cutting across age, gender and class. All important parameters in deciding a film’s box-office success. Infact the second actor who comes closest to SRK in this regard would have to be Hrithik. Akshay might get there someday.. who knows? but for that, he will have to branch out and do different
kinds of cinema, as of now, all his films look disarmingly similar.
And as for Akshay fans, they can rejoice their hero’s success and the opening week record created by him. coz i really dont think any other film releasing this year is going to break SIK’s opening record. Akshay’s own, CCTC doesnt look promising, the first promo was bland and is directed by a guy whose last film was Salaam-e-Ishq. Drona may be good but it has Abisheik as the lead and he hasnt become a big enough star to gather a huge opening. Yuvraaj may have some melodious music courteousy of Rahman but i seriously doubt Subhash Ghai can surprise anyone anymore, this may turn out to be Kisna 2! then there’s RNBDJ, even though there’s a lot at stake, knowing YRF, they will probably keep the promotions a low key affair in accordance with their standards. which obviously means that the opening wont be
huge, might be in the range of 35 crores but nothing more. But if this film does turn out to be even half as good as DDLG, then
it might end up grossing huge in the end. Next is Ghajini, having seen both the tamil and english versions, i wonder why people are billing it as blockbuster material. if the director stays true to the storyline of the original, then i dont think it will find a wide audience. as of now it just looks like another Thashan in the making, high on hype, rights sold for humongous money but might disappoint in the end. then again, the only saving grace from this scenario is the presence of Aamir Khan in the movie, people can say whatever of his meddling ways and interference in the direction. but this guy is the only actor in hindi cinema right now who fully understands his audience and gives to them exactly what they want. and he has been doing this consistently for a long period now, the only blip being Fanaa, but then again, that too grossed over 50 crores at the box office.
So as of 2008, Akshay is the king of box-office, in 2007 it was SRK and in 2006 it was Hrithik.
Looking ahead, who might rule in 2009? Akshay has Khambaqt Ishq, Blue among others, all potential hits. SRK has MNIK and DON2, again potential to rewrite records. Hrithik has Kites. The future is looking bright for everyone. The time has come for multiple Kings to exist at the same time, peacefully… which means Happy times for the stars themselves, Happy times for the audiences and Happy times for the Industry.
- Now thats just what would make Happy Singh happy!!

I think Arun is more worried about Shah Rukh Khan Standing than Shah Rukh Khan Fans. First Shah Rukh Khan has reached Lengendary Status, so for him Number Games is already Over. Akshay Kumar after lot of struggle has sceen some good years and is considered Top Actor. By comparing Him with Shah Rukh Khan is that Media and His Fans think that He can also achieve Legendary Status, which looks difficult if he continues to do comedy. To reach Legendary Status He has to show Versatility like Shah Rukh Khan Popular in every Gener. India, Romance All Time Blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Negative Super Hit Darr and Baazigar, Supporting Super Hit Deewana, Tragic Super Hit Devdas and Kal Ho Naa Ho, Producer Super Hit Chalte Chalte and Main Hoon Naa and All Time Blockbuster Om Shanti Om. If Akshay Kumar is able to show this Versatility then everyone will say that He is not only a Super Star, but worthy Contender to legendary Status of Dilip Kumar Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.

Shahrukh is not legend first of all. he is too young to be called that and first of all only ACTORS become LEGENDS…Not hammers…
And I have never claimed that Akshay has reached a legendary status…There are only 2 living legends today in the indian film industry….Amitabh and Dilip… Period!!!
Secondly, versatility is the term often used for actors who are adept and skilled in their crafts..not someone who has not shown acting skills as such except in 2-3 films of his in his entire career.

What challenge people are talking about here???It’s seems foolish no to accept something whose results have been declared already and something which has been accepted worldwide….that AKSHAY is also the KING….It’s like sticking to a adamant stand..that of not accpeting that others have also grown quite BIG just like SRK. I know there could be some hard core SRK loyalists who do not wish to agree that SRK ever gave a flop even. Bit those few people do not form general consensus. Let’s accept this…Akshay is as big as SRK today if not more. Just like Hrithik and Aamir. So one or 2 people keep challenging the whole world when th battle is already over. Challenge totally INVALID!!!
Secondly, SRK loyalists claim that Akshay is just grown BIG in last 2-3 years…I would like to say that he has grown VERY BIG in last 2-3 years. Akshay has been really successful post his Hera-Pheri phase (i.e. the time when Akshay switched over temporarily from action roles to comic or serious roles).
Some of his succesful films since 1999:
1. Jaanwar(1999)—SOLO
2. Hera-Pheri(2000)
3. Dhadkan (2000)
4. Ek Rishtaa (2001)
5. Ajnabee (2001)—Proved himself in a negative role also

So one can see that judge that Akki has given 21 HITS since 9 years…I am not saying that he has not given FLOPS in these years in Talash, Dosti, Insan, Aan, Police Force etc…but one point ot note is that he has done bulk films in a year i.e 40 films approx in 9 years. Ou of which he has given 21 HITS…So obviously chances of failure increases as not all 40 films can be HIT in today’s times. Again, the films that he has done do not belong to YRF or a Kjo or a farah camp. Another important point i.e. the films ride on Akshay’s back totally. I wonder, if SRK has done those many films since 1999. Answer is NO…
So tell me, how is Akshay visible to u all only since last 2-3 years???He is there since 1999 giving out HITS after HITS every year…Something which even SRK could not give. Plus he has not been that gutsy i.e. to do those many films in a year. He has done approx. 2 films a year..may be 2.5 as an average…all were not HITS as well. The time when he was doing 3 films a year was somewhere in 1995 where his Zamana Deewana, guddu and Oh darling flopped back to back… I think that must have been the time, SRK would have realized that if he has to play a longer innings, he can do some very selective work and that too with makers who can feature him in roles which he has core competency in…i.e. Romance…So the names YRF, Kjo etc…
(Only Amitabh had those guts to churn out hits after hits in a year doing 5-6 films in his times) in his PRIME TIME. And that’s why Amitabh has always been regarded as GOD of Indian cinema..something which no actor will be able to achieve….
So, guys don’t be judgemental abt Akki’s work and think rationally and practically. Akshay is a force to reckon with and people truly regard Akshay as the KING now…
