It seems the hype and excitement over the release of Singh Is Kinng and its chartbusting soundtracks haven’t gone down well with a certain section of the industry.
On Friday, a number of top producers and directors in the industry received a text message that ridiculed Akshay Kumar. The messages were sent from a mobile number from North India.
The message read, “Tashan flopped miserably and Akshay Kumar is doing all behind the scene maneuvering to maintain his market price. First, the Singh is Kinng audio rights deal was inflated heavily and then another corporate, at an inflated unheard price, acquired its mobile rights.
Can someone tell him (read Akshay) that even his recent hits like Welcome, Heyy Babyy, Namastey London and Bhool Bhulaiya have not crossed even 2,00,000 mark on the music cassette sale front? Why is he so desperate? Can someone ask him please?”
No prizes for guessing that such specific information could have only come from an industry insider. Says our source, “It could be a big music company who was in talks to clinch the deal of Singh is Kinng. Or it could also be a rival actor who isn’t too happy with Akshay’s success.
Who else would have the personal mobile numbers of so many filmmakers to send the message to all of them? It seems like a case of sour grapes.”
Ritesh Sidhwani, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sajid Khan and many other filmmakers have received the message.

the songs of SIK are really dissapoining.It can only be accepted in Punjab.No where else.
Even the movie trailor which came out just recently falter to deceive.
I dont know what foul play AK is talking about but surely we expected a lot from this movie.

It seems its going to be one of his * flop * movies, but some lobbies in the bolly industry + media will try to prove that yes, its a * goooooood * movie, though Akshay mostly looks like the most funniest man, who only can make you smile or laugh by doing some even not good comedy either. By doing some undecent gestures you can’t think yourself a great actor. And what has he got, only 2007 in his career. And then this hoo haa, over this message. He is getting very big headed now a days, so because of that he might have been arrogant to someone unknowingly or not, we can’t say about that. Well, apart from it so many actors must be getting a lots of not pleasant messages, but they don’t make a hue and cry over it. Its just like he is showing off that he is a very big acor this is why people are trying to sabotage his film. I think he should come out of this …paradise. Sorry to say that Akshay you need to have a charm that SRK has, then you need to react on SMSs like this.
