   the collection for week 1 are less than many films this year(including SR (20 cr in week 1)) but in jaane tu..’s case ,theres more than what meets the eye.

   Aamir released it with much less no. of prints and hence in few cinemas across India but the ROI(return of investments ) are very good here.

   i think aamir shud have released it with atleast 700 prints ,it might have then grossed around 30 cr nett in week 1 atleast,may be he was not confident about how the film and Imran wud be received by the audience.

   I think number of prints should also be mentioned

   JTJN (Average per print: 6,56,524)
   SR (Average per print: 2,74,258)

   This is so called a difference when ur talking abt the week 1 collections.

   collections for 2050 are pathetic ,of around Rs 5.1 cr ,its a disaster as it was a 50 cr film.

   of course,thats what i said,if aamir wud have released it with 700 odd prints .it wud have crossed may be JA and race also this year.

   lovestory was not 50 cr film it was 30 crore film

   jai,
   budget of 2050 is not clear,many say its 50 cr ,some 60 cr,while BOI said 30 cr ,so i went with the majority.

    n 12 crs doesn’t make a movie blocky 2nd weeek will speak as JTYJN isn’t exceptional at all………haven’t seen ls2050 bt heard it isn’t dat gd…against JTYJN….JTYJN was good nt gr8…

    BOI says:

    Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na is excellent and recorded 20 crore nett business in week one. The second week is off to a very strong start and the prints increased. The film should emerge an All Time Blockbuster in Mumbai circuit as business in Mumbai city and Pune was extraordinary on the 8th day. The other major circuits should do blockbuster business.

    boi shows the whole reports of each and single centers {almost all centers}

    and taran shows the bo reports of those centers from where he gets the reports {means from selected centers } {not of each and every centers}

    Samia BOI is right, while Taran has not given all the centres. Even if you look back his Old Films records Opening Week it is less than BOI. And by Tuesday you will come to know how much JTYJN has collected. My range is 21 Corers.
