Q. Do you think Yarshraj films are losing their touch, they have had all flops over the last year and Bachna Ae Haseeno and Rab De Bana Di Jodi have a feeling of been there done that.
Ans. Bachna Ae Haseeno will be a huge success while Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is likely to set record totals for all revenues from Indian theatrical to Overseas theatrical to music to satellite. It is likely to be biggest grosser ever in India and Overseas so YRF are just going through a bad patch but with Bachna Ae Haseeno and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi that patch will be over.

Another resaon for Fannas good opening is Yasraj s strong performance previously and also the Narmada controversy crated by aamir alongwith its superhit music.
But the movie dissapointed me big time.I was out of the theatre soon aftger the interval.
one more thing what u always compare with AB with SRK, Aamir etc. look at their age differences and what kind of stories they are getting. at the age of AB, when SRK will come he will not be doing any love stories etc.
But Movie didn’t opened well, good mouth publicity made it Blockbuster.

When Amitabh was a star action was the in thing and AB did action oriened movies till he became 55.Only after that he started experimenting with his roles.
Same with SRK…He is doing love stories till the age of 40.Now he has stared to experiment.
no body knoes what RNBDJ is all about.To term is a love story would be a bit premature.
I will watch Fanaa any given day compared to crying TZP and RDB. Both the movies were bad. I go for entertainment in cinema hall not for crying. These types of movies I watch in Pirated DVD’S.

I was a watching programm called “”Seedhi baat”" in aajtak some one year back.
Prabh chawla ..when asked a controversial question about Amitabh (Reg his affairs) to SRK…SRK got agitated and defended Amitabh.
SRK warned prabhu Chawala not to ask any deregatory questions about Amitabh as he respect big B very much.
On that day …i became even a bigger fan of SRK because..this guy knows how to respect ,even his biggest competitor.
But this is the truth.
I think any actor personal life should not be talked in profession. Its disrespect to that particular actor.

RDB was infact a slow starter like CDI.But both the movies picked up due to excellent reports and positive WoM.
RDB collceted appprox 18 cr in the first week and ended at 51 cr.
RDB was not a such good performer in the overseas though.

The films which have done well overseas are
either love stories or comedies ….now an aamir khan film is different everytime …..TZP was social drama , Lagaan was based on cricket, Mangal pandey patriotic movie (non masala types in short) so it is bound to get slow openings …
On the other hand Srk movies have got big starcast KANK, K3G ….great Directors backing up d project and It does well bcoz dey are family dramas , LOVE STORIES which r d main draw in d overseas market
Take d case when aamir does a Fanaa d movie (masala type , great producer yash raj) does awesome in overseas…
Just take this case also Akshays Overseas power is better den aamir bcoz of his constant run of comedies plus being a punjabi he dominates UK market ….
and one more case Look at jaane tu ya Jaane Na its a Love story college type its doing well in overseas market bcoz film here specially in Australia is marketted using Aamirs Name and its released wid 6 prints in Australia …
now when srk does a chak de type movie or swades or paheli it never gets a big opening in overseas market bcoz its not a luv story or family drama or huge starcast ..
so in short its Not only star Power which counts in Overseas market the basic thing is
1. The Movie has to be a Luv STory
2. Great Starcast adds more money (better Opening)
3. Great Directors and Producers bcoz Rajeev a Yash Raj movie always releases with more prints den any ordinary producers movie

Meenal, do u know what are you saying?Come on!Get your facts right.Actually it is SRK who signs directors as well as producers in the films in which he.For your kind information,he charges nothing for his films but shares profit with the makers.Others have also started this trend now.This shows the dominance of SRK in bollywood.Now your allegation against SRK is that he is doing movies with Yash Chopra and Karan Johar only.But this is not fact as among his upcoming movies,some are with Anubav sinha,Priyadarshan,Farhan Akhtar and some other fellow i don’t remember his name.Yes in one way,U can be right because he has done lot of movies with Chopra and Johar and there is a strong reason behind it.Look, these people including SRK aren’t fools but very very clever businessmen.Indian cinema has gone global now and overseas audiance matters a lot for filmmakers.SRK is the undisputed king of overseas market and it’ll not be wrong if i say that he is from no.1 to 10 there.So this is the reason these people are behind SRK and are signing him again and again.SRK is also comfortable with this as he is also gaining more and more profit.So what is wrong in this, after all everybody wants to earn more and more and by the way SRK is not so stupid that he’ll make movies to please few critics and you also.

Hello everyone! I am a very big Yash Raj Films Fan and i could actually watch anything they make. Sometimes I feel like I live with them and i am just their family member. But since the last year YRF has been having a bad time (Tara rum pum, JBJ, LCMD, even Aaja Nachle which was just like a sure hit). Everybody knows this but what I am wondering is whether BAH and RBJ will work out because Tashan was such a boring movie for one moment I thought this cannot be a Yashraj Movie. I am getting really nervous and I have eaten up all my nails what will be the condition at the end of this year…..

I had told earlier that Aamir would back out from dec 12.Because he knows ,he cant fight the BO might of SRK.
Aamir has done the right thing by backing up because this would give his film a chance to be a success.
Atleast fans like me who wont have gone to watch Ghajni ,had it released on 12 the december,would now watch the movie on 27 th Nov.
