B.O. Update: ‘Jaane Tu’ takes a flying start, ‘L.S. 2050′ dull

- By Taran Adarsh, July 4, 2008 - 18:08 IST Box-office throws a lot of surprises and that’s the beauty of this business. The verdict is out in the open. JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA has clearly stolen the march, as per initial indications. The film fetched a flying start, collecting 80% + in morning shows and was 100% in noon shows across the country. It’s one of the biggest starts of this year. The reports are very good and the film is expected to enjoy a strong, meritorious run in days to come.

On the other hand, the response to LOVE STORY 2005 was evident during the paid previews on Thursday night. Friday morning, the results only became more evident, as the film opened to a 25% response and by noon shows, was in the 35% - 40% range. The reports of the film are below the mark and this big-budget sci-fi venture will have a tough time sustaining itself in the coming days.

    Jaane tu ya jaane na review

    Since this movie trailer started showing in tv channels i was telling that this moview is going to create magic.

    lets get into deatil

    I am living in dubai and the movie has released here on thursday, i planned to watch this movie very first day and i cant wait to see this film, but coz of my work i cudnt make it,then later in the night i went to c but the tickets was full for 10.45pm show & i felt ver sad, later i come to know there is mid night 2am show, so immediately i grab the ticket. now its 5 am in the morning i watched already this movie & i am giving my first review in 5am i.e friday morning.

    In one word i was expected lot from this movie but….. but… but…. this movie has proved more than my expectation…

    JTYJN is a mind blowing movie & after tare zamen par this is the only movie i felt very great…

    Story - simple story with twist & turns, completely fresh

    Acting - i cant believe imran has done such a wonderly job in his first film , he was so natural with his own style, the character completely made for him, in one we have bollywood
    leonardo di caprio.

    Apart from Imran everybody has done a very great job in there character, naseeruddin shah in guest apperance has done a wonderful with his comic charcter. Pareshral was good in inspector role, Aditi brother role has done wonderfully,overall everybody has done a good in there character.

    Direction - one of the best direction in recent times, Abbas tyrewala was great the way he took the story from beginning to the climax, especially the last 15 minutes was mind blowing.

    Climax - what a climax, u cant stop jumping, clapping, whistling for the last 15 minutes movie. there where few group of guys who was trying to disturb the whole cinema in the theatre by making fun but even they shut there mouth and started enjoying the movie by clapping & whistling in the climax.

    Music - ar rahman proved once again he is genius, very good music with perfect songs according to the situation, people will enjoy music more & more after watching this movie

    best scenes -
    -naseeruddin talking to his wife from painting picture after his death was very funny

    - aditi song was beautifully picturised

    - climax horse riding

    - climax chasing scene in airport

    - proposing in the climax by singing

    On the whole the movie was well made without any vulgarity, u can enjoy with your family, kids & friends, and when u come out of the cinema u feel u have watched a worth film.

    with this movie aamir khan has proved that he is a super perfectionist. Now his coming film ghajini will break all the record.

    verdict : 10/10

    JTYJN is a block buster, tickets are sold out 100% around the world and IMRAN became the craze everywhere especially in media, girls are crazy

    ARUN as per your statement only two movies are good so for i.e SR and this one.Now answer my one question,who is a big star,Big B or Imran?Looking at the opening of both films i am gonna vote for Imran.Now you please?

    Amitabh Agent now even Imran alone can gurantee Bigger Opening compared to all 3 Bachchans put together. Just goes to show Sarkar has no Raj, while only Khan’s has Raj. Be it SRK, Aamir, Salman or now Imran all are ahead than Amitabh Bachchan. While SRK, Aamir & Salman has Solo Blockbusters + Solo All Time Blockbuster, which Amitabh has not. And now it looks like even Imran will also beat Amitabh as Imran Movie looks Potential Blockbuster. This is really a shame for Amitabh. Nearly every actor has Solo Blockbuster except Amitabh. Haaaaaaaaaaaa
