We are talking about Films, not Game Shows. And Top 10 of India, I cann’t find any Amitabh Bachchan Movie. Can you find it for me.
And Films are determined Hit or Flop by there Net Gross not Raw Gross. So Gadar Raw Gross means nothing. Om Shanti Om is Indian Cinema History highest Grosser and that is fact which you have to accept and if you cann’t then go to hell.

Panchvi pass` to fetch Rs 18 cr from callers

Star Plus’ new quiz show Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai, which will be hosted by actor Shahrukh Khan, is expected to rustle up over Rs 18 crore from mobile and landline calls and through SMSes.
This amount is a lot higher than the Rs 10-12 crore it earned during Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) last year. The show will run for 36 EPISODES starting April.
Unlike KBC-3, where Airtel, MTNL and BSNL were exclusive telecom partners, this time around, the channel is going non-exclusive. The channel is in the process of getting on board almost every telecom service provider, which means that participants need not just call from an Airtel or MTNL/BSNL number.
“This will increase the base of participants than if the lines are open to more than 2-3 service providers. Last year, Airtel provided around 20 million subscribers (largely mobile and around 2 million landline users), the major chunk of landline user base was contributed by MTNL/BSNL. However, with the growing subscriber base, it makes sense for the channel to sign on more than two telecom service providers. This will ensure reach to around 280 million users in the country,” said a source close to the development.
During KBC-3, Airtel (mobile and landline combined) accounted for 40 per cent of the calls, while MTNL/BSNL contributed to the remaining.
Star Plus is said to have signed on a few telecom partners that include Spice, Airtel, MTNL and BSNL, and is in talks with Reliance Communications, Idea Cellular, Tata Indicom and Vodafone, according to the source.
When contacted, Viren Popli, the senior vice-president of Star Mobile Entertainment, said, “We do plan to go non-exclusive, but cannot divulge any details at this stage.”
Last year, calls for KBC-3 were priced at Rs 2.40 per pulse for both landlines and mobiles. The call rates this time will be around Rs 4 per landline call and Rs 6 for mobiles and SMS.
That apart, the revenue-sharing terms between the telecom operator and the channel has also been revised. While Star Plus earned 22 per cent and the telecom operator kept the rest, for Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai, the revenue sharing terms will now be 50 per cent each.
Star expects to receive at least 2 million calls per episode, earning Star Plus over Rs 18 crore from telecom interactivity (it is estimated to earn 50 per cent of the Rs 36 crore from 36 episodes), said a source close to the development.
Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai is the Indian version of the international show, Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?, in which adults are quizzed on questions from textbooks of standards 1 to 5. At each level, the contestant has the chance to win a specific amount and the maximum winning amount for the show is Rs 5 crore.

No, MKS was not an ALL TIME BLOCK BUSTER. It was just a BLOCKBUSTER. Lots of other things go into deciding an ATBB.
For example, KKHH is an ATBB, whereas K3G is not. Despite the fact that K3G has given more RoI.
You use data keeping in mind your benefit. If the same website CNN-IBN says that something good about SRK, you would say that the website is biased or wrong.
For example, CNN-IBN says that SRK is the role model for 64% indians and 65% pakistani people.
It happens when you are desperate to run down someone and prove a point out of the blue.
Please keep in mind, truth prevails in the long run.
People like you have been trying to discredit/sabotage SRK since last 12 years. But he is getting strong by the day.
There’s no denying that AB was the superstar in the 70s and 80s.
But SRK is the superstar of 90s and 2000s. And AB doesn’t figure even in the top 10 right now. (It’s a fact, going by the failure of his films).

2008 is not so early in Hrithik career. It’s his ninth year.
After 9 years, SRK had Deewana, Baazigar, Darr, Karan Arjun, DDLJ, Yes Boss, Pardes, Dil to Pagal Hai, KKHH, Mohabbatein.
Plus, SRK had also given so many average films like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. Plus, SRK’s performance in both these movies were highly appreciated.
He should have been where SRK was in 2000.

Commonsense would tell you that KKHH and OSO should be there in the list because of their BO collections.
The site has forgot to mention them.In this way Krissh and bobby would out of the list.
But here too Sholay s figure seem to be a bit infalated.It should be around 250 crs region.
I have gone thru the link.It has absolutely no idea about the Overseas collections of most of the movies.So it has given a figure which it poseess.So actaual figures of todays movies would be different to the figures given in the site.
So at the end of the day SRK would be having 3 movies ,Amitabh 2,HR 1,Rajesh Khanna 1 Salman Khan 1 and other 2.
That sums up the entire thing.

Similarly, one site (obscure site) saying MKS is an ATBB doesn’t mean that it’s correct. Why doesn’t MKS find a place in other site’s list of biggest grossers.
Plus, Prakash Mehra saying it was a bigger hit in some circuits is not valid ‘coz everyone promotes his movies. Even RGV says that AAG is not a disaster.
Plus, if there is Krish, then there should be KKHH and OSO in the list also.
It just show that the site hasn’t made the list correctly, or it’s not an updated list or it’s just plain jealous of mentioning SRK’s films.

Rajeev the list of boxoffice hits is basing GROSS collections of movies..it is not taking into account distrubtion figures or how much the film was sold for. Just pure GROSS FIGURE COLLECTIONS.
In this respect. KKHH can never be a all-time blockbuster for them.
Kuch Kuch Hotha hai is not even in the top 10 movies by boxofficeina in terms of gross. Boxofficeindia for some strange reason gave it a tag of all-time blockbuster even though they acknowledge that films like Maqadar Ka sikander have grossed more but yet they gave that BLOCKBUSTER tag. That was a strange verdict which made me beleive they were favouring SRK films. MKS in any trade language is an ALL-TIME BLOCKBUSTER it was only 2nd to SHOLAY in the 1970s. Its good that other sites acknowledge this fact!!

I know BBC is one of the top news agencies of the world. But that doesnt guarantee that the poll was fair. In those times, it was very easy to do multiple voting. AB won mainly ‘coz Indian population in the UK voted multiple times.
Plus, not many people knew about the votings. Else, stars from hollywood would have been much ahead of AB. Plus, the second most famous Indian star was Govinda, which shows that the poll was rubbish.
Plus, these kinds of polls always happen with a selective audience. and SRK emerged the role model of 65% of Indian & pakistani audience.
AS I HAVE SAID EARLIER, YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE!
Plus, if you say Krishh makes the cut ‘coz of inflated figures, Krish was released in 2006, and in two years a movie with around 55 crore can exceed a movie (OSO) that has grossed 86 crore.
So common sense says that OSO and KKHH should have been there.

When Krissh released 2 years ago the market was totally different from what it is now.
You cannot deny that since last year there has been a big boom in the movie-industry. Multiplex boom!!
I think the biggest boom took place since last year. Salaries for stars have shot up from 5crore to 20crores. Everything has been multiplied by 4 or 5.
If you are not aware of this lmfrz then thats your problem.
Regarding the millenium poll, I dont think BBC will allow multiple votes to register. This is not an indian news agency but one of the most respected news agencies in the world which is accessed by millions around the globe.
