SINGH IS KINNG in ‘Gurmukhi’ on international publicity!
We observe that the striking posters of Singh Is Kinng [on display in cinemas in the international markets] have the Punjabi (Gurmukhi) equivalent of the film title at the bottom. [Picture attached]
An intelligent ruse to draw the Punjabis who will be the core audience in the UK & Canada, followed by all the diverse Asian communities who’ve been going gaga about the promos of the keenly anticipated title.
Remarks producer Vipul A. Shah, “My international distributors came up with the idea of incorporating a gurmukhi font of the title, as no doubt, like all Asians worldwide, the Punjabis and Sikhs will also flock to watch Singh Is Kinng! The response to the look of the film universally has been electrifying!”
Adds Akshay Kumar, “I am essaying a Sikh character (Happy Singh) but the film is for everyone. At its core, it is a heart-warming Bollywood entertainer, which the families can sit back and enjoy. The underlying message has to do with positive attitude. Anyone in this world can be a king with a positive attitude in life!”
Singh Is Kinng is out on August 8 with previews on August 7 at select locations. It is an Indian Films - Studio 18 worldwide release

I never believe that AK is the king.True he has given some hits offlate after struggling for almost 10 years or more in his carrer.
But….I was watching a IIFA show yesterday.The show was really dull until Akshya arrived at the stage.He rocked the stage and in my distant memory i have only seen two more persons rock the stage .they are SRK and Salman.
I have only seen two persons interacting the audience with confidence on a stage.The first one is definitely SRK and the second is Akshya.
This guys has definitely going something for him at this moment and the SING IF KING seems to be another hit to his kitty.
Kudos to this guy called Akshya for fighting hard in a industry which is dominanted and manipulated mostly be yesteryears stars and their kins.

I know Akshya is a poor communicator in english so as AAMir,salman and Hritik.
Only Amitabh Bacchan and SRK are good in English.
But thats hardly a detterent because Stars like Akshya and Hritik can compensate this with their charishma.
I agree with you that AK was not able to communicate properly but he rocked the stage for sure.
When it comes to sheer communication on intercation with the audience,i am sure you would agree with me even Hritik is very poor at it.

I agree.Thats the resaon not speaking English is not a detterrent.Even Akshya Kumar is a very good dancer and a very good performer on stage.He is the only person whose shows sells overseas after SRK.
Reg communication of Hritik,yes he is decent in English but to communicate,on stage,to thousands of people needs more than decent english.Here i am not talking about only english.I am talking about Communication.

Yesterday IIFA’s only attraction was Akshay’s performance. Till that it was like there was no star in the Award ceremony. In fact there were some $hits like Mission Istanbul and Acid Factory. I mean what are you presenting? Bachchans are no more a star now. They are just pretending. Boman and Reitesh were trying to copy SRK and Saif but that was failure. Akshay’s performance really rocked the auditorium.
But as the king is concerned, still there is no replacement for SRK.

I agree with you.Performing on the stage is very importnat where Hritik excells.Interaction is not important.That is the reason HR cant anchor any show.Thats his limitation.
SRK and Saif Rocked the Filmfare function not even moving a feet.Their anchoring was the highlight of the FILMFARE.
In stage shows,HR is not a big draw overseas because although he is a great performer his inability to interact with the audience makes his shows one dimensional.
Where as SRK on his shows interacts with people,makes them feel great about themselves.hence his shows rocks whereever he goes.

how can u say that he is not a big draw when he hasnt done a single solo-show overseas ?if he does ,i m sure he will do wonders and give sleepless nights to every star.
SRK is a good,but not great dancer hence he makes up for it by interacting with the audience,in SRK’s case it becomes a necessity. so is the case with akshay but his poor communication and horrible sense of humour just doesnt help the case.

Yes SRK is not a excellent dancer,but he is not a poor dancer too.He has loads of attitude which more than compensats for lack of accuracy in dancing.His sense humor and connection with audience is a bonus.
For EVERY LEADER COMMUNICATION IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT.SRK IS A MASTER IN THIS.
I have nothing against HR,for even i like him as much you like.But the truth is he is a poor communicator.That limits his appeal when it comes to stage shows.If he can improve upon his communication,i am sure he would be as big a draw as SRK is ,if not more.

I agree.People come to stage shows to only see stars.Surely HR has the charishma to pull people to the stadiums.
I only wish ,he becomes more humane and intearcts with people with confidence.It will go a long way ,he becoming no.1.
SRK ,being avg in every ascpect(dance,looks,body,acting skills) still rules because he has got a humane side to him which touches to peoples heart.
When he talks,it looks genuine.When he shows concern ,it looks genuine.When he appreciates somebody,the warmth is quite obvious.
HR will not loose anything if developes these traits too.It would make him a NO.1
Thats where he scores and rules.

Reg stage shows ,since HR has not performed solo in overseas we dont know what would be the response(I am sure it would be poistive)
But AK s stage shows been successful overseas.

Friends, whatever you say but, one thing is for sure that bollywood is following the some footsteps of KING KHAN, such as how to promote the film, and obviously as you all are seeing that what Amir is doing, I mean he has come out of his shell to promote the film and nephew both. or artists who are, doing the SHOWS overseas or in India + performing in the shows or interviewing or interacting with the audience and he is too much obliged to the public, that because of them he is KING KHAN, for this SRK always expressed his thanks in media & shows too. You are right on Akshay. He is far ahead of Hrithik in overseas and in India.
Statistically Hrithik has done bigger movies and hence his multistarrers are there in top 10.
But Akshay had delivered consistently and has risen from the phoenix to eat Hrithik’s share of popularity and is now looking luminous for SRK. Akshay is the new King.
