Now, Amitabh to play Ashoka!

A multi-crore tie-up with the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, will have Amitabh Bachchan’s AB Corp launch several projects. Among them will be a film directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi based on the relationship between Emperor Ashoka and his son Kunal. The buzz is that Bachchan will play Ashoka and his wife Jaya will essay the role of Queen Padmavati.

Says Bachchan, “AB Corp is making a film based on the relationship between Emperor Ashoka and his son Kunal. I am still considering the project which will be directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi.”
Dwivedi who has written and script as well as the screenplay for the untitled film, says, “The story is a legend based on a collection of Buddhist texts called the Avadanas which deals with the purification of the soul and mind.
The section Divya Avadan which has the Asoka Avadana has the Kunal Avadana, a collection which was composed in Sri Lanka during the time Ashoka’s daughter Sanghamitra took a branch of the bodhi tree from Gaya to Ceylon. A branch from that tree was brought to India and planted in Sarnath.
The writer of the manuscript is not known though it’s been edited by many authors since then. The original script is in France.”
Dwivedi chanced upon the story when he was working on his TV series Chanakya. “The story fascinated me as it dwelt on the strange yet loving relationship between father and son. Kunal was born a year before the Kalinga war. There is no detailed account of what actually happened.
Herein comes my stretch of imagination of what might have happened along with history. My film will be historically accurate as I have researched the subject for more than 10 years. The film deals with Ashoka in his last years. Earlier films on him have dealt with Ashoka when he was much younger; my Ashoka is a 64-year-old Ashoka.
When I conceived the film, I thought only of Mr Bachchan. I had wanted to do it then but Prakash Mehra had wanted to do a TV series in 1998 so I backed out.”
Dwivedi has also approached Jaya Bachchan to play Queen Padmavati. “I have spoken to Jayaji. It would be too predictable to take Abhishek as the son and currently, we are figuring out Mr Bachchan’s dates. Jayaji is very busy. She would oblige us if she does it but it would be a creative challenge for Mr Bachchan.”
The film will be shot in India, Afghanistan where ancient Gandhar and Takshila existed along with ancient Pataliputra which existed in Bihar.

Friends you see, don’t blame to our cute KING KHAN, now its small, I mean big b, who is going to step into SRK’s shoes. While SRK have already produced this film ASOKA quite long ago, and next ASOKA was being made starring AJAY DEVGAN, we don’t mind that one, but this one is surely for some purpose to show that SHAH RUKH KHAN is b b b b b’s …..ffffffriend?

Finally, he has accepted that he is nothing but a copy-cat. He copied Dilip Kumar in Deewar (dying scene straight from Ganga Jamuna). And Pacino in umpteen movies. Now, he is going to copy SRK.

That is a figment of your imagination.
AB has blatantly copied Dilip Kumar in Deewar (dying scene). And even he has confessed that he copies Al Pacino. It’s just that in those times people were not exposed to Hollywood movies, otherwise AB’s pack up would have happened right in the 70s.
If SRK doing a film or show done by AB is copying, then AB doing a role done by SRK is also COPYING.
Plus, SRK movies earn more than AB’s all movies released in a year in a week.
And please don’t talk about RGV’s AAG. It’s the biggest flop in the history of cinema.

When Amitabh copied AlPacino in Agnne path,Tyhe audiences were so upset with him that,they damaged the theatres in many parts of India.
Amiatbh had to agian dub his original voice .

The thing is that NO ONE CAN COPY SRK. Because what he does no one can do. He is so perfect that it’s impossible to even think of doing it again by any other actor.
In fact, AB is the same in almost all his movies, same style of dialogue delivery, same boring face, same limping walk, same Aaiiinn and haiiinn, haaiiin…
AB is not even worse than the Ramlila actors. Atleast they entertain.
NOW, STOP COMPARING SRK WITH AMITABH. HE HAS REACHED LIGHT YEARS AHEAD OF AB.

SRK can only win filmfare awards and they are the cheapest awards there are they are today called the FILM-FRAUD awards. I admire AAMIR KHAN for boycotting them.
There was a time when the filmfare awards were respected, you had winners like Naserrudin Shah, Sanjeev Kumar and even Anumpum Kher. They were critically chosen. I think they lost respect from mid90s onwards when they became corrupt and changed the policy to voting by the public. Before this was not the case!
Today its impossible for these great actors to be even nomianted for a best actor filmfare award. This actually proves that these awards are just FAKE and FALSE.
The real awards for ACTING are the natonal awards.
Regarding acting watch SARKAR RAAJ. Its a role SRK can never do in 100 births, no wonder he toched ABs feet after watching BLACK!!
Thats where he belongs at ABs feet!!

Did you count or what???Or just a guess work. FYI, may i enlighten you that from day 54 to day 64 i.e. till date there have been 1600 new people joining in, the names of whom have been generously published by BIG B on his blog. Secondly, if ur talking about the no. of comments count to be that of 500-700, then must I inform you that he writes his blogs everyday sometimes even twice thrice a day…and so the distribution is scattered somewhat. If u go to Aamir’s blogs and check the count, you will see some 3000 comments so far and mind u, Aamir’s was days ago (jun 18th to be precise). So u wanna say now that Aamir only 3000 odd fans??? What a logic really??
I m giving u all this in figures now since u only seem to understand that language…i know u did not think of this urself becuase of limited gray matter in ur head and even if u wud have, u didn’t highlight this since u SRK fans have a habit of giving only negative thoughts (when it comes to some other actor)…

That is the point. SRK fans show their desperation and frustration by doing all this. They know their idol’s limitations and so try to prove his superiority because they know that if SRK has to be loved by all, he needs to remove BIG B as he’s the biggest obstacle for him to be considered a so-called LEGEND and till the time BIG B is there, he can’t attain that. But actually he doesn’t deserve it is hard to digest by SRK fans. That is a diff. story altogether.
