If u ask anyone who is the most popular face of bollywood ,the answer is only one ,shahrukh “king” khan ,but as far as openings and avg net gross are concerned ,the answer may not be the same.

As far as BO is concenned i belive in india,in last 5 years SRK and HR is neck to neck.But its the overseas where SRK marches ahead of HR.
Secondly instead of 5 if we take last 6 years,then the story would change dramatically in favor of SRK because HR resurrected his carrer from KMG in 2003.Prior to that his carrer was going no where.
And Manoj it is better that you keep all actors years as same. By this way you will get clear piture.
shahrukh khan is the brightest star that bollywood has ever produce.
And Manoj after that we have to see what was the Box Office Status of those Movies.

Because even i have checked the BOI,the opening week performance of CDI is 74 % as compared to 55 % said by you.And opening of JA is 65 % as compared to 70 % said by you.
I belive there needs to be a bit more consistency in the stats given by you.
I belive Fisrt week calculation should be a more objective one and on this i believe SRK and Hritik would be neck to neck in India for sure instead of 8 % difference.

There is no doubt in my mind that Hritik is running neck to neck with SRK in last 5 years.But he has certainly not overtaken him in openings.
He has a long way to go before he achieves this.
Your stats are somehow conceals more things than reveals anything.
But having said that,definitely HR is the heir apparent to SRK .may be in next 5 years.But to achievve this he has to do more movies and also outside his home production.

The reactions, not how full the theatre is, of the first weekend or Friday, then word of mouth starts to spread and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th weekend or so on, that will decide whether the movie is a flop, hit, superhit, or blockbuster and determine the star power of that actor. SRK rocks at the box office in US, Canada, UK, India, and other countries.
