There is a human tendency exists to think about all the things that we do and we have done so far. We always believe that we are the masters of our own fate. What would you do, if just for a single day, somebody else has got that option to make you dance on his/her tips? As the title of Aamir says it all “Kaun kehta hai Admi apni kismat khud likhta hai”? Sometimes circumstances are ruling the human beings and vice-versa is also true. When a person is alone, that’s a different thing, but when his/her family is involved, everything has meaning and makes sense. No matter, whether family is caring, loving or uncaring and worst, relations gives meaning to your life and that’s what matters at the end of journey.
The Plot
The story of the movie revolves around Aamir and Mysterious man on phone. The moment, Aamir enters into airport of Mumbai, he doesn’t find anyone to receive him there. At the security check counter, policeman keeps asking him again and again about his identity. He tells him about his job, family and his reason for being here in Mumbai. He comes out and two unknown guys toss at him one cell phone. There’s an option of incoming call only. He gets instructions from that mysterious man from time to time. First place that he has to reach is Dongri, National Restaurant. From there, He has got the instructions to buy “Dates” as he was hungry. He kept them in his pocket. He visits Indo Gulf Hotel and there he has got the instructions to follow one man. He makes one call to Karachi again to an unknown person and policeman chases him like a dog. He has to go to Bhindi Bajar and has been informed about Sahil Sheikh. Who is Sahil Sheikh? What he has to do with Aamir? Do they know each other? There are number of sequences that are linked with each other. He got one red suitcase in which he finds some money instead of bomb. He continuously gets calls from that mysterious man for his every next step. He doesn’t let go Aamir easily and bang on his head with messages of freedom, religion, status and all. He has to place that red suitcase in a lane but three rogues’ makes his task difficult. They chase him and ran away with his suitcase. With a help of one lady, he gets back that suitcase again. The most important task was to keep that suitcase in the bus, to kill number of people, just for the sake of taking revenge. Aamir left with no option but to follow what all he has been told to do so. He places that suitcase in the bus but him subconscious mind doesn’t allow to commit such a big crime. Few minutes are left, what would he do now? Will he go back to save the life of those people or would he save himself and his family? He pulls the suitcase and shouts after dislocating himself from the bus. He keeps on shouting, there’s a bomb, few workers who were working under road project, they ran and in a few seconds, Aamir body turns into ashes.

Performances
Rajeev Khandelwal- He’s a wonderful actor. In Aamir, he has proved all his potentials and skills of being a great actor. The role of Aamir seems to be made for him only. He deserves to get a “National Award” for such a thought provoking movie. After Anuraj Sinha, he’s the second person who has made his debut in an excellent way. I hope, he would be getting more appreciation and admiration for his work and acting in this movie. I couldn’t believe that he was acting in the movie for the first time; it seems like he has been doing this since ages. The first movie always leaves an impact on audiences and he has got all the credit for it.
Gajraj Rao- He has done a splendid job. I am impressed with his acting skills. I praise all those characters that all have acted and put their efforts together for awakening people.
My Take
Terrorist has died, at the last moment; he backed out and ran away. It’s still not clear whose group he was following and since when? These are the comments which we usually hear on TV, our media is too fast. They show us what they really want too. Nobody has written in any book that all the terrorists are Mohammedan’s, but still 95% people perception is just like that. There are group of Sikh terrorists also, they do the same task, like Muslim terrorists. I believe, it’s not right to blame the religion and people because few people are running terrorist’s organizations. The key points in this movie were as realistic as I saw in ’Khuda ke liye” and “Black and friday”. In the beginning, three movies have already come with such an unimaginary concept, people must learn from it. Every movie gives a message if one really watches it with an intention of learning something, instead of fretful thoughts.

How many times do you feel to protest when a Muslim Extremist kills soldiers and citizens in Kashmir, mumbai, varnasi, gujarat, delhi, hyderabad and all over the world in Israel, cosovo, Sudan, Russia, uk, spain and so on!!!
why does it take a terrorist to be a Muslim???
all Muslims are not Terrorists…But certainly all Terrorists are widely Muslims! ever got this question in your mind…
you r feeling bad for what a Movie has done to your faith…do you know where did the original movie come from…Palestine
the film is based on a Palestine Muslim and so to glory him they made the film CAVITE which the director has used in India.
if you have so much concern about you faith/religion been tarnished by a film!
ur faith/religion is more ridiculed by these terrorists. contd
Comment by VJ on 16 June 2008:
i think you should voice ur concern over the way Muslims non-cooperation to the society worldover than ridiculing a film or a cartoonist…
i think the point made to be here is that AAMIR is a copy and thats it.
just coz u were cryin foul abt support to the faith i had to show u a mirror…
the world is bleeding coz of one single faith…
u know the answer…and so do all the sane ppl reading this…
think wht do u do abt that first…

Comment by DON on 23 June 2008:
I am not speaking on government’s face value. Catch 22 or not, how come D has come into picture of crime scene? Why do we have the Lakdawalas (who work under D) phoning up big personalities like Himesh, Raj Santoshi threatening them. Not only this one of them even did that to SRK (since he is a noble muslim as mentioned and so was shown in Aamir). Abu Salem was caught and he worked under D as well. So does Chhota Shakeel. Even those terrorists who are caught doing acts like of buses blast etc, turn out to be D’s men.
Its not that easy to catch D, since he is wandering from places to places and as u know..this world is corrupted. Muslims are brought in these gangs with an emotion committing to fight for themselves and it is where the mess happens. And thats exactly what is shown in ‘Aamir’. The character of Aamir is a very good gesture, that is how a muslim takes the step of leadership and how he doesnt commit to the sins.
Comment by DON on 23 June 2008:
D has a chain. I am talking abt a head who runs it. So is in Aamir. What m talking of is that what Aamir shows is one of the truth too that happens in India.
Comment by DON on 23 June 2008:
What m trying to say is everyone cant be same. What has been shown in the movie is that theres a head of a gang, who is a muslim and he thinks what he is doing is correct n for muslims’ right. He has roped in all muslims by that emote as i mentioned earlier. Now this is somewhat happening in real as well. And so the director has just showcased this in the moviee. And as per the director, the honesty, the leadership nd courage that a muslim (Aamir) takes in the movie is the balancing act.Tho i know u wont agree to it, but thats what is in the movie.
Comment by DON on 24 June 2008:
What m saying is that the movie shows what is going on in India. From the first scene itself, where that guy checks Aamir’s luggage for 4 times juz coz he is muslim is true in itself. Not everyone here, but ppl do exist who look at Muslims that way. And thus whatever has been shown in proceedings is same as well.
Comment by DON on 24 June 2008:
I said that not everyone but many ppl in India do look down upon Muslims that way as that person does while getting the luggage checked again n again. And the scenario of blasts, i have already told many times how its something which does happen in India.
Comment by DON on 1 July 2008:
I guess we have made both our points and we’ll stick to our respective points. I find nothing as falsehood or trying to tarnish Muslims. Anyways, nice debating wid ya tho.
