RGV takes on film critics in blogs, defends Sarkar Raj

Mumbai: One hears of critics reviewing films, however, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma reviews the review of films by various critics.

Ram Gopal Varma has taken to blogging and takes on film critics who’ve written negatively about his latest release Sarkar Raj.

After celebs such as Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir khan and many more, Ram Gopal Varma too seems to have been bitten by the blogging bug and clearly RGV stands for freedom of speech as is obvious from his blogs.

“Everybody has the right to say what they want to about the film,” says Ram Gopal Varma.

However, what most people didn’t know is that RGV would take himself seriously enough to write what he calls the review of reviews, a reaction to all that critics had to say about his latest release Sarkar Raj.

From questioning the credentials of different film critics to defending his film, Varma has gone all out to respond to all the criticism hurled at his sequel to Sarkar.

So is Bollywood now over-reacting to criticism?

“I don’t say that my review is the best. My review is what I felt about the film but they should not dissect everything,” says film critic, Raja Sen.

Meanwhile, it seems that with the advent of the age of blogging in Bollywood, the days of accepting critcism graciously is finally over.
