Shahrukh the most underrated actor??

Shahrukh Khan, flag beare of our nation.

First off yes I am a Shahrukh fan, but I have always tend to be very balanced when voicing my opinions in open, as I would hate myself to be called as someone’s butt boy. I have seen some people biased towards Shahrukh like anything, at the same time there are many who hate him to no limits, but all these emotions of people attached with Shahrukh, has actually made me ask myself, if Shahrukh is one of the most underrated actor on the Indian Film Circuit?

Every argument, for or against Shahrukh, discusses more of his stardom than actually makes any valid points about his potential. When people compare JA or TZP with OSO, I wonder really????? thats what you can do???? If you think OSO was a competition to TZP then either you are upgrading OSO or downgrading TZP. No there was no competition, TZP and JA should be compared with Chak De India, and now tell me who had been the better actor????? Ones who love to slam Shahrukh for his acting, I refer last scene of CDI, when Shahrukh is speechless, and just has his eyes and tears to showcase his emotions, itself is enough to show what kind of talent this man has on his disposal.

And then have you forgotten that it was the same Shahrukh who did something like Darr, Baazigar, Anjam, Doosra Kewal, Fauji, Circus, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, CDI, Asoka, and you slam him for lack of talent?????? Lack of versatility??? A guy who jumps across the roles of Kabir Khan and Om in one year, the guy who jumps medium, from small to big then back to small screen, and still comes out at the top, you slam him for playing safe?????

I think if Shahrukh has got the tag of being repetitive, then its more because of directors and producers, because they don’t want to take too many risks, not that Shahrukh ever hesitated (his record speaks for itself), or has lack of talent. I think Shahrukh is as big of an actor as his superstar status, its just that we have been blinded by his charm, that we tend to overlook everything else.

I won’t go into debate of who is better, Shahrukh, Aamir, or hrithik, but I seriously feel that he is undermined by all of us, fans and haters alike. A guy who has transformed himself as the face of Indian film industry, has broken the barriers of cultures, languages, ethnicities, to make people united and understand the common language of arts, can actually motivate a nation of one billion to sing one song, to say one word, INDIA, can not be as crappy as some of us believe.

I won’t hold it against you to say anything against Shahrukh, as they would be your own opinions, but a person who has achieved so much, should be given respect if not love.

    Wonderfull Piece Kunal !!!

    I think he is more educated in terms of acting,because he is the person who has seen and been in all kind of acting from Street play,Tele Serials,theater,art movies,to big bollywood movies

    HE has seen and done it all and more importantly he was successfull everywhere

    Nother Point I would like to add is that

    Srk has done all kind of roles being a lovable guy or boy nex door , to act as superstar ,to do characters like the one in swades /Cdi he has done everything

    I dont see any other actor has done verstatilty as Srk because Srk has done all kind of shades

    HE can bring all shades in one character and can express brillant so that everyone whos watching can understand

    He never acts for any X particular Class,He tries to entertain everyone !!

    Bt its sad for those who dont recognise his talent,and only speaks about His repitive character in few movies

    I think i dont find any character playing completely different without being himself

    He played action roles in Shakt-Power, Baadshah, Don, Koyla and Main Hoon Na which were well made. Swades & Devdas was films that i felt that he did a good job as well…even Dil Se was a slightly versatile role….
    He has different roles and people need to recognise him for his achievements. Im pretty sure he will come out with more dramatic and action roles in the future.

    SRK has already proven that he is the king of romance, DDLJ, KKHH, OSO, the list goes on. Over the years he has proven that he can take on serous roles as well, CDI, Swades, KHKN, etc. He even suits some comedy roles, Baadshah, and OSO. The only area in which SRK is behind on is action, there are only a few action movies of SRK’s that have been hits, Main Hoon Naa, Don, Karan Arjun, and Baazigar. He has even proven himself as a good actor in a negative role, Don, Baazigar, Anjaam, Darr. There is no doubt that he is the most underrated actor. Most people think that he can’t act, and he is just a superstar. They are forgetting that he won 6 Filmfare Awards for Best Actor, and it is going to be 7 with CDI.

    Let me tell you that all the mud-slinging towards SRK is done out of sheer jealousy. Nothing but due that one torrid emotion which most people don’t have a clue as to how to contain it.

    I agree with AksFilmi first comment where he referred to SRK having done all sorts of acting on all sorts of platforms and having been successful with all of them….

    Kudos to SRK, and to Kunal who threw a light on why SRK is what he is!

    waaah meri dil ki baat ki hai tu ne….i am tired of telling the same things to SRK haters but they dont seem to be listening…anyways what i beleive is that his haters cant dgest the fact why he is sooooooooo popular and beat their stars thats why they tend to come up with rubbish points such as he does same kinds of movies and bla bla bla…then why would he get so many best actor awards???? he is now just 1 behind dilip kumar and once inshallah he get two more then he will beat everyone….

    Very well written Kunal. I completely agree with every word of yours about Shah Rukh Khan. I hope many more people start thinking like that and he gets the “respect” he deserves as a versatile actor.

    and if shahrukh khan is not a good actor then no body like me watch his movies repeatedly again and again only for him and to watch his acting only

    and if some one has problem with shahrukh khan then plz dont watch his movies dont waste your money by watching shahrukh khan movies

    Shah rukh khan time is over ,a king is Akshay kumar.He never got a national award then we say that he is complete actor.he is not complete actor.he got awards through recommendition of Yash chopra.
