King Khan approached for an item number for Rakesh Roshan’s Krazzy 4

After making 32 stars dance in Om Shanti Om, it is Shah Rukh Khan’s turn to dance for someone else. Rakesh Roshan has approached King Khan to do a special song for his production Krazzy 4, presumably after his item boy turn in OSO.

Originally, Hrithik Roshan was to do the song but that was ruled out after the actor injured his knee. The item song has been composed by Rajesh Roshan, and will be shot on a sprawling set in Mumbai.

‘Knee’d a timeout

Adds an insider, “Rakeshji has approached SRK for the item song, but he has yet to revert back. Hrithik is presently in Singapore meeting up with knee specialists and getting a second opinion on when he can return to work. He has been advised to rest his knee, and a strenuous dance number doesn’t seem possible at this juncture.”

A good bet?

The source further adds, “They thought of many options but most actors don’t have dates. SRK seems like a good bet as he is not shooting for a few months now. Also, the Roshans did make a special appearance in his OSO, so they decided to approach Khan for the item number.”

A source close to SRK admits, “Though SRK has been approached, nothing has been finalised since he too is not keeping well.”

The film is being produced by Roshan’s FilmKraft Productions and will be directed by Rakesh Roshan’s friend and associate Raja Sen, who says, “I really don’t know about SRK doing an item number. All I know is that we have shot with Rakhi for the item song. I am the wrong person to be asking, Mr Rakesh Roshan will be able to help you out.” Krazzy 4 stars Arshad Warsi, Dia Mirza, Irrfan Khan, Rajpal Yadav, Rajat Kapoor and Juhi Chawla.
