Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar will soon make his acting debut in Bollywood. And if you think he will be featured in another sports drama then you are wrong. His debut film will be a romantic comedy, produced by Nisha Kreation.
 
This romantic comedy has been titled as Main Aur Meri Himmat (MAMH). It also stars Hansikaa Motwani in the lead role and opposite Shoaib Akhtar. Nisha Kreation is a big record company that also produces music videos.
 
Speaking about the film producer Nissha S Katyayann said, “After making albums and music videos we decided to venture into film production. Our first film will be the Shoaib and Hansikaa starrer Main Aur Meri Himmat that will commence in January. It will be directed by debutant director Sangamitra Chaudhary.”
 
When we inquired about the decision to cast Shoaib Akhtar especially since he didn’t have the conventional look required for films, she replied “The script demanded his presence. He will be seen in a very interesting role that will be completely different from his cricketer’s image. We wanted a bubbly, young actress and Hansikaa fitted the bill.”
 
It can be recalled that Mahesh Bhatt wanted Shoaib to play title role for Vishesh films Gangster , but things didn’t fall in place and same role was played by Bhatt’s favorite; Shiney Ahuja. Was it difficult for producers Nissha and Sidharth to convince Shoaib? “No it wasn’t as difficult for us as it all depends on how you approach them. Rather in our case when we narrated this script to him he signed the film in one go. We will have a meeting with his manager about his dates and according to that we will finalize everything.”
 
If sources are to be believed MAMH will also star some renowned faces from the Indian and Pakistani team. “Yes it’s true. We are contemplating on this thought. If everything goes well, it will feature some Indian and Pakistani cricketers in an Item number.” She quips.
 
Main Aur Meri Himmat also stars Rajpal Yadav in an interesting role. The film’s music will be composed by producer Siddharth Katyayann and will be entirely shot in India.
