dildaar-e-yaar: Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan is known for his generosity. So when he learned that Nikhil Dwivedi was approached to act in the remake of Arjun; SRK, who owns the rights to remake Rawail Rawail’s Arjun, gifted the film rights to him.

A source reveals, “Shah Rukh is quite impressed with Nikhil’s My Name is Anthony Gonsalves.  Red Chillies is also involved in the film and the two have been working closely.

When SRK learnt that Nikhil was approached by another production house to remake the 1985 Sunny Deol starrer, he gave Nihkil the green signal.”

Sound backing

Nikhil whose debut film releases on January 7, says, “All I can say is that there’s an understanding worked out where SRK doesn’t have any issues with the remake. The film is backed by a major corporation house and will be directed by Shivam Nair (of Ahista Ahista fame). We are working out other formalities in the meantime.”

The actor adds that he’s quite excited about the release of My Name is Anthony Gonsalves whose promos have already hit the air. “I have got some positive feedback on the initial promos. It’s an interesting film with a lot of comedy.” Post MNAG, the newbie has signed up a few more projects. “There’s some exciting work coming my way and I am quite happy.”

It is learnt that the Arjun remake will be on the same lines with situations representing today’s social problems. The original Arjun (released in 1985) starred Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia.
