Bipasha Basu voted as Sexiest Asian Woman

 Bollywood bombshell Bipasha Basu has been named the sexiest Asian woman in the world for year 2007 by a leading London-based Asian newspaper.

The bong beauty beat other strong contestants from Bollywood to reclaim the top spot for the second time after 2005. 

Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit was the runner-up, while last year’s winner Priyanka Chopra was placed third by Eastern Eye newspaper.

Reacting to the honour, Bipasha said the true sex appeal lies beyond physical looks.

“It is about one’s personality, about how one carries oneself,” said the sultry siren.

Hamant Verma, editor of Eastern Eye and founder of its Sexiest Asian Women in the World list, is quoted as saying: “Bipasha Basu is a living embodiment of sexual attractiveness. Her acting ability, beauty and charm are capable of arousing great interest in her from the world’s media.”

In the list of the newspaper’s 50 sexiest women this year, the top ten are - Bipasha Basu, Madhuri Dixit, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai , Laila Rouass, Shilpa Shetty , Katrina Kaif , Kareena Kapoor , Lara Dutta and Iman Ali.
