Manoj Kumar threatens to sue SRK for aping him

DOUBLE TROUBLE: In the film, Kumar’s young double is shown being beaten up by the police outside a theatre.
Director Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om is being lapped up by the audience but there is someone who’s hasn’t quite appreciated the humour in the movie.
Veteran actor Manoj Kumar is reportedly so agitated that he has threatened to sue the filmmaker and actor Shah Rukh Khan for what he alleges is “a conspiracy to humilitate and ridicule me”.
The actor who gave a new definition to patriotism on celluloid says that the scene in Om Shanti Om where his young double is shown being beaten up by the police outside a theatre is done in bad taste.
In yet another scene, Shah Rukh is shown giving a mock thank-you speech in a drunken state and later saying he’s Manoj Kumar.
The veteran, also known as Bharat Kumar, has lashed out at director Farah Khan saying, “This is not film making”.
Om Shanti Om, Farah Khan’s second directorial venture after Main Hoon Na, hit screens across India on November 9 with a big Diwali bang. The film stars newcomer Deepika Padukone opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

I slso don’t think it derides the image of Manoj Kumar. It is just a joke and acting. I advise to Mr. Manoj Kumar the Superstar of that time not to wory.

I think Manoj Kumar should infact thank Farah Khan for bringing back his name into circulation rather than sueing him.

I honestly think that it was’nt anyone’s intention to make fun of Mr. Manoj Kumar. I think it was just a typical joke that didnt meant to hurt anyone. If every time an actor mocks another actor on screen, the actor feels offended and sues the other actor, then every actor will be sued.

The so-called patriotic movie maker (who disappeared for years and years after his few movies) has suddenly re-emerged and has found a very good vehicle to get some mileage/publicity by jumping on the OSO band wagon…… This publicity might remind movie makers that he still exists and thus help him find some daddy/ grand dadyy sort of roles.
Don’t know how many more people have made use of the giant band wagon called OSO to revitalize their careers……

I haven’t seen the movie but I jus cat imagine an old actor shown being beaten doen by police as funny. For those who know Manoj Kumar, he doesn’t need this kind of bull shit to be remembered.

ALI KHAN: Just move your pseudo butt off this place. The subtle negativity that you’re trying to propagate about OSO, Farah Khan, and at times about SRK doesn’t work on this forum. Please try your luck at those Jhoot-Bolo-Naach-Gaana forums….. Good luck….
