Football might not be India’s national or most favourite game yet John Abraham, Bipasha Basu and Arshad Warsi are set to change that perception with Vivek Agnihotri’s Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal. Shot in England, the film is a modern take on the hardships of the Asian community’s survival in UK with football as a backdrop. Not many filmmakers in India have attempted a film on a sport that talks at length about racism although Chak De where Shah Rukh Khan was a National Hockey coach was a film on a similar wavelength. Chocolate failed to bring in the appreciation for Vivek Agnihotri, so let’s hope Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal changes all that.
