Music preview: Aaja Nachle has nine tracks

Rumours have it that there is a 20-minute ballad which forms the Aaja Nachle's climax.

MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA: Rumours have it that there is a 20-minute ballad which forms the Aaja Nachle’s climax.

Music forms an integral element of one of the most awaited films of the year, Aaja Nachle.

‘Show me your jalwa‘, sung by Kailash Kher and Richa Sharma is one of the most famous numbers from the soundtrack, which is currently topping the charts.

Composers Salim-Sulaiman, whose previous hit had been Chak De, India! have provided the music of the film which, much like its story, has elements of old-world charm and a small-town feel, something that has been missing from Hindi film music since some time.

“When you have the baggage of one ‘Dhak Dhak‘ and ‘Ek Do Teen‘, it’s always very diffcult,” said Salim Merchant. “But we were very, very sure that it’s going to be the music which we like. Obviously, it’s a Madhuri Dixit film, coming from us, and suitable to our liking,” he added.

The title track of Aaja Nachle is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and the lyrics are by Jaideep Sahni and Piyush Mishra.

The album has nine tracks.

And if rumours are to be believed, the surprise element in the film is its 20-minute musical climax in the form of a ballad, which has been kept under wraps so far.
