Madhuri Dixit : Will she show her jalwa?

The promos of Yashraj Film’s next presentation Aaja Nachle have got a tepid response from movie buffs.
The comeback film of Madhuri Dixit is not generating enough hype in B-Town. After the film’s first promo that was released with Chak De India , the latest teaser of the movie hasn’t got the tongues talking. And the title song “Aaja Nachle” hasn’t actually become a rage it was expected to be.
Doubts are already being cast in media reports if ‘Aaja Nachle’ would really turn out to be a big comeback vehicle for the diva who has been away from tinsel town for about five years now.
Just a few weeks before the film’s release, all this speculation doesn’t make for a pretty picture for the film’s producer Aditya Chopra , who is learnt to have asked Madhuri to come to India to promote the film. Aditya apparently understands well that Madhuri can catch many eyeballs while promoting the film and that will eventually draw crowds to the theatres.
But there has been an uncertain response from the actress. Rumour has it that she is unhappy with the film’s promos.
According to Madhuri’s secretary Rikku Rakesh Nath, she hasn’t yet decided when she would come to India. However, he does clarify that Madhuri has no problem regarding the film’s promos.
Says a source close to Yashraj Films: “The banner isn’t really worried about the so-called ‘cold response’ to the film’s promos. In fact, if you recall there was a similar brouhaha when the promotional song of ‘Chak De India’ was released. People had then said the promo lacked the appeal. But the film went on to become a hit. So there is not much to read in the response to the promos (of Aaja Nachle).”
When asked about Madhuri’s return in the coming days, the source gave a cautious reply: “Nothing has been finalized on that front for now.”
‘Aaja Nachle’ is directed by Anil Mehta. The film tells the story of a danseuse who returns from USA to her small hometown in India and is shocked to find that the culture of dance has become extinct there. She decides to introduce dance to the people in this town.
The film also stars Konkona Sen Sharma and Kunal Kapoor . It is slated to release on November 30.
