Raj Kapoor’s Joker comes back to life!

The Joker from the film Mera Naam Joker will always be associated with legendary actor Raj Kapoor. The image of Raj Kapoor as the Joker in the 1970 film is unforgettable for many of us.  

There was a time when director Shirish Kunder had announced a project called Joker but unfortunately the film has been postponed till 2009. But now Bollywood bad man Gulshan Grover is all set to give us the experience of Raj Kapoor’s Joker once again by starring in a film which is based on the character of the Joker, titled Raju-The Joker .
 
“Yes I am very much doing the film and I am excited about it. The film is based on the Joker from Raj Kapoor’s film Mera Naam Joker ”, said Gulshan Grover. “I cannot reveal too much about the film and my character, as we are going to have a grand launch for the film soon.”  

Though tight-lipped about the film, a little bird tells us that the Joker will be an animated character. It may be recalled that the Joker died in ‘Mera Naam Joker’ so this seems to be a very good option of reviving the character.
