Its going to be phenomenal, just the way Lagaan, RDB came out to be, TZP will get not only awards for Amir, but if executed properly, it might fetch him Oscar as well.
At the same time I don’t know how BO will treat this movie.
I remember certain Ek Raja Ek Rani, again a brilliant movie of Amir, excellet acting, amazing screenplay and script, but a lukewarm response from the audience.
But in last few years audience have actually warmed up to the idea of different movies, thats why I am kinda ptimistic about movie.
Anyhow for me Amir represents a real superstar who is not scared of taking a risk, because he has achieved so much he knows now that he has enough financial and fan’s backing that he can take on some relevant subjects and excell in that.
Just the way Shahrukh did in CDI, Amir is going to do with TZP, that is shed off his superstar image, play a character and at the same time bring some light in the society for the plight of certain minority sections.

Kramer Vs Kramer was something out of the world no doubt. I guess Aamir did well in that, I agree no one can replace Dustin Hoffman, but still he did well. Again agreed Shahrukh could have easily replaced him.
I have heard lot of good things about Jodha Akbar too, specially after its trailer got released.
With Jodha Akbar, My name is Khan, Idiots, Robot, TZP, next year already looks promising.
Out of all these movies sadly I have least expectations from TZP as far as BO is concerned, though it would be an absolutely brilliant material.
And again even in Akele Hum Akele Tum it was script which was flawless.
and just kike Kramer Vs Kramer had a brilliant background score, it was soundtrak (spl dil mera churaya kyon) in Akele Hum Akele Tum which literally carried the movie on its own

Baring few of his earlier fils and Raja Hindustani I found all his films really good and one of the bests in dat year.
AHAT and Lagaan were the only good performances of Aamir. Rest were average. A good thing about Aamir is that he has very good sense in choosing right scripts and directors. So most of the films he chooses turn out to be good. Where as his acting in most films is very predictable

two/ three among you are hoping for the moon. TZP will hardly make a mark. The only reason behind the little hype is has created is because aamir is directing the film. He was forced to direct after the actual director walked out due to a bitter fight between him and aamir. It seems nobody else was ready to direct it and to avoid any wrong publicity, aamir decided to direct the remaining movie. I don’t know much about Ghajini yet which is a remake of a south indian film.

Ghajini is not ‘inspired’ from anywhere but is a pukka remake of a south indian film with the same name.
He’s also a horrible man in his personal life (see how he left his wife and kids and also tortured his brother faisal for 2-3 years).
Be happy that he’s from filmi background and hence got a footing in bollywood.

I am expecting another master stroke from Amir. I am really exited and eagerly waiting for the movie. I dont understand what Shahrukh/Farha wanted to tell there…or sell there. If that film is considered one of the biggest hits then I will be happy to hear that TZP is biggest flop. Throughout the film I dont find anything for which I will remember the movie or story nor does that film leave any statement/message. Films are not showing packs/abs…..or telling some rubbish stories. It is a platform to communicate something to common people. For which I always a fan of Amir. Throughout the years he always tried to tell some thing through his films like the great directors ….Satyajit Ray or Rittik Ghatak used to do in their days. Great Work Amir!!!!! You are incorrect in saying that Aamir doesn’t care about BO or awards. He definitely does but does not want to show that in public because he is scared of losing to competition and also because his ego will get crushed. As Aamir is good at selecting films, he manages to do some good films. That is all. Otherwise, he is just an average actor. As some people have told here, every one can give perfect shot after retaking the shot many, many times.
Comparing Aamir’s acting with Satyajit Ray’s direction is stupidity. Aamir’s acting is like a baccha in front of Styajit Ray’s work.

I used to hate school and i left home for 8 months i travelled all of india with out money,
Luckely i came back to home and
my old school throwed me out then i got in to new governament school where i felt i am better than most of childrens,
I saw my school mates who are worste than me and teachers did not had much issuee with me,
Just like the kid i was suffering ,
But here no amir kan in my life ,
I felt i am good as the governament school,
Thanks that i found my luck and i was thrown out of english school,
They used to beat like dogs and cats,
Its a very big story,
Every teacher should know that children are not slaves,
And parents should understand childs difficulty insted of beating them like dogs,I know every teacher cant affort time for every body but a little change in all teacher can bring up the kids,
I found my way,
Yep i passed SSLC which no one would have ever thought off who knew me,
Now i am 26,
And working as a software engineer in a MNC,
Today i solved a bug so i have free time to write on this blog,
But there are 1000 like me,
I may not visit this blog again in my lifetime,
But my message to all viewers of this blog,
Please if u ever get a chance to be a part of teacher or in feture ur kid might have a poor learning skill like that child ishan,
please understand them and try to give them love and never break the confidence in such a way bring them.

Tare Zameen Par was a very touching and wonderful movie. Very seldom do we see such beautiful stories. Darsheel Safary really touched my heart. A wonderful talented young boy who I believe will deffinately go a long way. Amir Khan really did a good job and I can watch this movie over and over but not without crying. It’s really worth watching!
I’m a bit late to this site. Read all posts. Posts by Varun are written in good english and Varun’s thinking is clear. That why it is surprising to read his posts. Varun: One thing I’ve seen in last so many years since this Aamir vs. Shahrukh debate started is that, almost all SRK’s fans I’ve come across in real life and on internet are usually immature people, with little understanding of cinema. SRK’s fans are almost shouting from rooftop about how their favorite star is the best ever, better than anyone has ever seen. OTOH, Aamir’s fans are more mature, more restrained, even with higher education (from what I have seen). Varun, I’m certain you’re in a minority because you’re a SRK fan yet you express yourself clearly, this is rare.
In any case, let me ask you, how do you know that Aamir asks for too may retakes? I have not read any director saying it. second, how do you know that Aamir tortured his brother? Per doctors’ comments, his brother, unfortunately, is schizophrenic. Third, because Aamir and Reena divorced, does that make Aamir a bad person? If you really think so, you’re showing off your immaturity. And then after all perhaps you’re not that different from a typical immature SRK fan.

TZP, although the topic of children was heart touching, but if you see the direction of the movie, it could have been better. The first half of the movie is very long and stretchy as it looses the audience attention. It could have been shorter Or if aamir had introduced himself from the start with a story in which aamir is teaching in another school and taking care of children in good way but school people are not understanding him so he has to transfer to Darsheel’s school where he is able to prove his way of teaching with Darsheel’s achievement, along with Darsheel’s story. In this way Aamir would be able to achieve what he thinks about these children and Darsheel achievement in second part is already strong.
I liked the last 30 minutes of the movie very much but whole movie could have been better by making first half also as strong as second half. Secondly it would give the chance to Aamir to be doing the main lead alongwith Darsheel. Now Aamir is doing side role and cannot be considered as one of main lead of the movie alongwith Darsheel. I bet with this story, Aamir would never have selected this role for him if it was not by his production house (As Aamir always tries to do unique roles and this role as an actor was just a normal one and can be done by anybody).
Overall movie was good and collected INR 16 Crore in its first week

This is really an inspirational film for both parents and their kids and will bring evolution in modern bollywood movies that helps in create future talents of india. Both Acting and Direction is superb.This film should nominate for Oscar award.Both Amir Khan and Darsheel have acted tremendously.

I dont know till the day when i saw TZP that I was suffering with the same dicease with which ishan is suffering.
i didnt sleep whole night after seeing the movie
bollywood should come up with such movies which will help the society.

My wife is a teacher and after seeing the film she told that she has few students like this in her class.
I have visited the website and found lot of detail about dyslexia and sure that will help my wife to understand the child better.
Many thanks to Amir Khan for bringing this untouched subject on screen.As per the reserch 1 out of 5 person in USA are suffering from dyslexia.
We must give thunderous applaus to Amir and his team for the good work and to Darsheel for portraying as the affected boy.Fantastic movie,offcourse film requires some drama & fantasies whch people should ignore

Second week, `Taare Zameen Par`, picked up at the multiplexes/cineplexes and big cities like Bombay, Delhi, Pune, Gurgaon, Calcutta, Hyderabad etc. The Darsheel, Aamir and Tisca starrer is exceptional in Mysore and Tamil Nadu, but is not upto the mark in C.P. Berar, C.I., Rajasthan and parts of North India. However, given its steady and improved run, the Darsheel, Aamir and Tisca starrer is expected to move to a much higher rating, in the coming weeks.
In the Overseas, `Taare Zameen Par` is fairing extremely well in the US, but is poor in the UK. Overall the movie until now has achieved Average Status.

REMARKABLE! there are like many other good films buh its all those comedy and stuff this film is nothin of such! i LITERALLY creid! omg it was soo good! how every child is important…. the best fact is that the child aint cripple indicating that not ONLY cripple children need love! then amir is this teacher at the tulips indicating that even the special kids are important! he also reveals ART!!! omg it inspired me soooo much! i took up my arts again and i think i understand my lil bro even better now!

Aamir makes a mistake by not taking Udith Narayan as his play back singer these days. If TZP songs were sung by him they would have touched people’s hearts more deeper and would have been super dupper hits. Please Aaamir we want his voice on you.

wonderful movie…i congratulate amair khan for making such a touching piece of cinema. Belive it or not, many people in the theatre (including me) were in silent tears when the “MAA” song was playing. it was gripping and not once did i feel any boredom. Well done amair…u deserve all the awards this year.

Simply the Best of the year 2008.I have seen after two year such a real based story of many family s childrens.
It is very..very good movie of 2008 and in real it is best film of this decade.In this movie the film maker highlighted the Student with Learning Disabilities.In this he has said term that is “Dyslexia” that means getting problem in reading but he has missed two technical terms that are “Dysgraphia”that means writing disorder and other term is “Dyscalculia”that means Mathematical disorder.Overall I can say that he has shown all the problems.This problem is emerging field in India .In present time very few people or guardian are aware about this disabilities.
By this movie he has given the message to people of India and abroad.

i cried throughout the whole movie, dont know whether it will be a comercial hit or not, the important thing is that it hit me, its about me when i was a kid, unfortunately i did not have nebody trying to help me, i hope it brings the changes necessary for indian education system
It is a very nice movie indeed. I cried through out the movie. It touched the hearts very much. Thanks to Aamir for making such a nice movie. Every parent should watch this movie. It hurt me a lot as it reminded of those days when we handled one of nephews who also had similar reading problems. It is a real pity that the movie came so late for us.
It is very difficult to control ourselves from crying while watching this movie.
