Indian Independence Day boosts CD India; Marigold weak advance
In a mark of release timing paying off, the collections of Chak De India, which on its own started off weakly despite being Shahrukh Khan’s first release, have received excellent bookings for Wednesday, 15th August. Combined with the earlier pickup over the weekend, and manageable drops over monday/tuesday; the film’s overall first week collections will be excellent. The film is on 63 prints in Mumbai. It has been released on relatively small 400 prints across the country.
Sunny Deol, in the past known to ride the patriotic train to the box office himself is not finding any such favors in his attempt as a Pakistani officer in Amtoj Mann’s Kaafila. Kaafila has bitten dust at the box office.
The bookings for next week’s release; Salman Khan’s Marigold; have however opened on a tepid note again.

For them Guru Net Gross is 50 Corers.
FOr them Chak De is hit , Then we shudnt be bothered abt Box Office anymore…Time to celebrate …

today it was massive all over.a 25 rupees ticket was being sold at a maasive 350 rupees in black market in a single screen theatre in my town.i have never seen such excitement 4 a srk movie.the last time it was seen during K3G.
