Malaika and Zayed Khan are expecting their first child early next year. Zayed’s parents, Zarine and Sanjay Khan are very happy, awaiting their grandchild.

Zayed and Malaika Khan have ‘tum’thing to tell us. The young couple are expecting their first child and are naturally very ecstatic! And on Mother’s Day last year, Zayed had said in this paper, “Mom, you have been a nani six times over now, it’s time I made you a dadi, ” and true to his word, he’s gonna be Daddy Z early next year.

“Having a child is a blessing from God and I am totally ecstatic! Inside my heart of hearts, I’m laughing and so, so happy. Malaika and I have already got the names in our heads, irrespective of whether our baby is a girl or a boy. People ask me, ‘Are you ready for fatherhood?’ And I don’t really know how to answer that. I think the minute you touch your child, some chemical reaction will take over and parental behaviour will kick in,” says the cool Khan.

Dad Sanjay and mom Zarine Khan too are in ninth heaven for, they’re going to be dada and dadi for the very first time, and Zayed and Malaika’s child will be their seventh grandchild.

“After all the nani s and nanoo s, we finally will be dadi and dada. We love it and can’t be happier! Already there are six of them, Hrehaan (Sussanne and Hrithik Roshan’s kid) being the youngest so far. God bless,” said a very happy dadi- to-be Zarine.

The petite Malaika is besides herself with joy. “I can’t wait to become a mother! I pray for our child’s health,” says the mom-to-be.
