I agree with you. But Rangeela and Ghulam will be A (Hit). For others you are okay. Rangeela is only Clean Hit of Ram Gopal Varma Career.
Mustafa, you ratings are more lenient. It is right but should be more strict like by one category below for everything. All Blockbusters comes to Superhits and all Superhits to hit and Mangal Pandey is at the best Average, so on.
RANGEELA can be if u become little liberal.but not GHULAM.even DILSE which was a flop same year did more than GHULAM.
See my Ratings are Lenient for all Films and if I become strict then it will be like Komal Nahta that the Movie should be Hit in each and every territory. I go with Abid who is Lenient as well as bang on Target.

I will just tell you simple thing Chak De! India needs 30 Corers to be Hit, if it Reaches around 29.8 I will label it Hit for sure because 0.2 doesn’t make much of a difference.
Komal is too strict .he infact doesnt give a HIT tag umless the movie does well in each n every territories.that is why he has KANK n GURU as semi hit.
Guru is rated Semi - Hit by Him which is Surprising but I think in end year classification He will change it, but Kabhi Alvida Naa He has rated it as +B (Overflow). Even Rang De Basanti He Rated as Semi - Hit.

Good data. Aamir is definitely one of the best stars from the 90s generation.
As for Aamir SRK comparison, Aamir is much more repetitive and dull than SRK. He also seems quite grumpy. Plus he’s known to be quite arrogant, and mostly doesn’t give the deserving respect to his contemporaries like Salman who might not be as good an actor as Aamir but is a bigger star.
On a personal front, i don’t like him so much because he ditched his wife and kids for another girl.
From pure box office perspective, Aamir is no where near SRK. Of course, lately Aamir has picked up speed and is dishing out back to back hits like RDB and Fanaa. We’ll need to see how OSO, TZP, and Ghajini fare to get better comparisons.
As for the latest, a relatively bland film like chak de (no heroines, no great songs, not much masala etc.), has beaten both RDB and Fanaa at the box office and is still going quite strong. That in spite of the collections being tax free which means a reduction of 20 to 30% from a box-office perspective for an apple-to-apple comparison with RDB and Fanaa.

What looks are you talking about? Aamir is considered better looking than SRK.
Aamir’s dad and others in the family were into films when he started. QSQT was his uncle’s film through which he got a great launch. Look at SRK now - he didn’t have anybody to support him when he started. He came from Delhi, struggled hard, started with TV serials and made a mark for himself.
And SRK was the first one to accept negative roles and turn them into big hits (Baazigar and Darr). Before that, lead actors were very, very hesitant to play negative roles. Aamir has only lately started taking risks with different roles where as SRK has been doing that since his early days.
Chopras and Johars work with Shahrukh because he delivers hits not because they are Shahrukh’s relatives!! You guys don’t have the basic common sense to understand this and keep talking such things every now and then. Fools..
SRK was the one who helped bollywood become popular internationally. His films did and still do the best business overseas. Other stars like Aamir and Akshay should now thank SRK for helping them find a foothold among international audience.

I fully agree with some people’s comments that aamir is not a very good person in real life. He also neglected his wife and children and was romancing another woman. Dil Chahta Hai -(Not a solo lead)
Lagaan - movie for getting independence
Mangal Panday - movie for getting independence again
Range De Basanti - movie for getting independence again
Faana - Negative role in movie for independence again (this time for Kashmir)
Lets see how it goes with his coming movie TZP. It is a remake of some film. Hope to get good acting in movie other than independence but first hope to get a role from him other than role for movie for independence. Although one can do less movies per year but why same kind of roles again and again. Actor should do variety of roles. Lets see how people like his role and acting for movie other than independence movie.

Hey! Aamir TZP is releasing soon on Dec 23, 2007. Aamir’s last year was good with Faana and RDB and his BO impact increased very much last year but not acting versatility as those were repeats for movies for Independence. This decade since 2001, aamir has only 4 movies out of which 3 movies were movies for independence so acting graph of Aamir went down drastically. Although Aamir’s list of good acting is very less and we cannot compare him with big actors but i am happy about aamir’s BO impact which is getting up with Faana and RDB last year. I am sure he will do good in TZP also, lets hope and pray.

Lets see how TZP Box Office Collection goes. When there is a first week of start of 40 Crore for OSO, 35 Crore for D2, 34 Crore for Welcome, the 16 Crore for TZP is a slow start. Hopefully it will pick in a week or two.

Same day releases TZP and Welcome. TZP has collected 9Cr and thus making a total of 38 Cr in three weeks. While Welcome also collected 9Cr in third week and making a total of almost 65 Cr thus becoming a second biggest hit of the year. Akshay’s star power is definitely more than Aamir’s star power.
As far as acting of Aamir is concerned, Not Again! Yaaaaaaaar Aamir is doing another period movie Gajni (Kajri). Since 2001 Aamir has done following movies:

DCH was good but there were other good names too to take the movie. TZP was child’s movie and Aamir was doing supporting role so we cannot put TZP into Aamir’s credit as an ACTOR. The main movies of Aamir Khan in all this decade since 2001 are periodic or independence movies. Does he not come out from one role and doing it again and again. He should think and act seriously as he is wasting himself. And as an actor he is going down and down, although as star he is getting up. Until when people will see his repetitive performances. Calling critics people in the final review of the movie before release to create strong word of mouth will work until when. Aamir has to look into all these things before selecting a role.
SRK was also doing same role previously but now he is going for different roles and has risen on top. Yaaaaaar! Aamir should also think about his roles now and do different kind of roles.
People talk about Aamir Khan saying that his work is great and his movies goes to Oscar and not for Filmfare. Aamir’s only movie nominated in Oscars was Lagaan in 2001. However SRK’s movies nominated in Oscars are:

Yaar! Dont say who got it first. Obviously who came first has more chances of getting it first. We cannot say that Dilip Kumar has gotten this award first as he came before. Amir came in 1982 and in 2002 after 20 years his only film got nominated in Oscar and now total work of Aamir is over 26 years and Aamir has only one all time blockbuster and 3 blockbusters and 6 Super Hits including TZP in accordance with above mentioned list on top of this article. Some people can consider some more movies.
SRK came in 1992 and now his work is over 16 years. If you compare initial 16 years of Aamir(1982 - 1997) and 16 years of SRK (1992 - 2007) then in first 16 years Aamirs only All Time Blockbuster was Raja Hindustani and has only one Blockbuster was QSQT and Super Hits were Dil, Hum Hein Rahi Pyar Ke and Rangeela, and Hits are Ishq, Dil Hei Ke Manta Nahin and Jo Jeeta Wo Sikandar. Only 8 good movies in first 16 years in accordance with upper mentioned list(this list may vary for some people and people can include one or two more movies). And mostly these movies of Aamir are romantic in romantic category SRK is already the king. Yaaar! SRK has huge number of good movies as actor, huge number of good movies as Star and Huge number of Hits in his first 16 years.
And since 2001 he is working mostly periodic movies for Independence like Lagaan, Mangal Panday, RDB, Fanaa (See my comment # 63) and the movies DCH which was a multi-starer and TZP in which he did supporting role. Although his stardom increased with Fanaa and RDB but those were repeat roles for periodic movies for Independence.
Now Aamir has worked for 26 years even then we cannot compare his good work with SRK’s good work as Aamir’s work is very less. Even this year SRK as an actor has Chak De while Aamir was in supporting role in TZP. Although Aamir turned to be a good director in tZP but then we should compare him with Directors like Yash Raj, Karan Johar etc and not SRK being an actor.

Ya as a producer both have worked. And this year SRK produced OSO and as a producer he is on top this year as his movie earned 41 Crore in one week while as a producer Aamir’s TZP is able to earn 38 Crore in three weeks and will cross 41 Crore of one week total of OSO in one month of its run.

As a director we cannot compare the two as SRK has not directed any movie although aamir has turned to be a good director.
Firstly, this article is about Aamir “Ace” Khan, so why are we even talking about SRK or for that matter, any other actor, here?!
Aamir is excellence, quality and genius personified. He doesn’t need any hype, or cheap publicity gimmicks to make people watch his movies. Nor does he need to “buy” those pieces of wood & metal called “awards” to justify or prove the worth of his work.
In a recent interview on TV, Kareena Kapoor called Aamir Khan, a genius. And even Shahid Kapur has said that he wants to be like Aamir Khan and if there’s one person for whose autograph he’d stand in a line for, was Aamir Khan. Even Karan Johar, whose otherwise always blowing SRK’s trumpet, has had to appreciate the genius of Aamir’s directorial debut. Shatrughan Sinha has been raving about Aamir and has called TZP as one of the BEST MOVIES ever made in the HISTORY OF INDIAN CINEMA. Even Abhishek & Aishwarya Bachchan have watched TZP in Jaipur. The entire industry is gushing about Aamir, who has proved himself as an actor, producer and now even, director, par excellence.
Aamir’s movies have substance.His movies and performances are unique and versatile. He doesn’t need to mock or mimic other people to make his movies work.
According to recent reports TZP is all set to overtake OSO in the coming weeks in terms of collections and is ready to become the highest grosser.
TZP has broken records and even made political leaders like L.K. Advani cry. Advani too, has showered loads of praise on TZP & Aamir. It was Aamir only, who discovered the wonder boy Darsheel after auditioning some 500 kids.
Aamir outdoes himself with every new release. With RDB, he inspired the youth of the country and now, with TZP he’s sensitised parents & educators about children’s issues. His film 1947 Earth was also sent as India’s official entry to the Oscars in 1999. So it isn’t just Lagaan which made it to the Oscars. Lagaan wasn’t just India’s entry, it was ACTUALLY included in the FINAL 5 nominees for the Oscars, whereas SRK’s both movies which were nominated to the Oscars, failed to make the final cut.
Enough said, in support of Aamir Khan. Yeah I am a diehard Aamir fan and I’m PROUD to be one!
Aamir is the BEST and he’s above all comparisons, ratings and number games. I rest my case.
Also to add, EVEN SALMAN KHAN has said in an interview that it was in fact, AAMIR KHAN who should have been the FIRST personality from Bollywood to be at MADAME TUSSAUDS.
amir khan’s box office record is very bad. his tzp earned 39 crore in 3 weeks which was less than OSO’s 1st week collection.

aamir doesnt stick to any banner or any story.he is a versatile actor and he always proves his point.
shahrukh khan is good actor but a crying and sentimentally torturing actor.he always sticks to a perticular banner and types of movies and whenever he tries something new he is a flop like swadesh and all those B grade movies like 1 2 ka 4etc etc.

So I looked at srk and he has 11/47 as hits or better.
For aamir its 6/32. the respective percentages are 23% and 19% for srk and aamir.
So for a difference of 4% more success, why one shud care that much for srk, unless u are a fanatic.
moreover, most of the successes of srk are dute to some much loved prototype hindi film roles being copled with yash raj banner and huge media craze.
whereas aamir started working earlier, did not work with big banners and started concentrating on media very recently.
so, to sum it up…….
a large majority of the people in the world think that GEORGE BUSH is a saviour, shud we believe them?
this is just an illustrative point i am trying to make…popularity is entirely different from quality.
1) Romantic movies-This is the only kind of movies where shahrukh scores above Aamir thats because all hits of shahrukh were romantic except darr and bazigar.Aamir has also done good romantic movies loke QSQT,Dil,raja hindustani and Fanaa

Asif, Are you comparing George Bush to SRK? Lagaan was a hit, not superhit. Aamir Khan has been doing the same type of film since 2001. Dil Chata Hai was not his film, there were other names attached to it. TZP- he played a supporting role.

Well there is no doubt about that. Aamir is much better in every aspect then SRK. Srk is damn gud when it comes to Rommantic movies provided the banner should be good plus the director should be good:). Aamir does’nt need any of those. And the people who says SRK is better producer
lolz… Dear he is no doubt a good producer becoz he has gone for only masala movies and whenever he tries for something new the result is the same ..we have an example “paheli”. Aamir has produced some path breaking movies TZP and Lagaan both were very sensitive movies in terms of Risk. Who the hell in the industry would opt for making a movie on Kid or even cricket? people should c the record doing one film at a time was initiated by Aamir. Now everyone believes the same. Dil chahta hai had few names attached to it, so people who say this should listen to Farhan Akhter and Akshaye Khana that no one was ready to do Aakash role even Hrithik denied and as it was again a risky movie at that time Saif also denied when first herd the script.
One thing more if any one remember the Biggest Supper Star of All time Mr. Dilip Kumar said in a interview 8 to 10 years back in a interview that only Aamir is capable of doing acting and he really loves his acting. I think Dilip kumar cant get it wrong.
ace khans FANAA,RDB.TZP are all masrepiece come on look at the up to date box office chart,even karan johar admitted in one of his shows that FANAA is a huge huge blockbuster.infact a worldwide blockbuster,just look at the box office collections, be honest guys and give the dues where and who rightly deserves it,and not just make it up and misguide.TZP is selected for oscars,and its a masterpiece which the whole world would agree.We are lucky to have AAMIR in bollywood and should be proud of him.

It z true that fan following of Srk is much than Ak but we should judge the actor on his acting and his roles in different films. If people would see all the films of Ak and Srk we will see different personality of Ak and his way of act in the film. U will see the same Srk in all the films and if u see action and jovial films of Srk, they are total flops even if there is the great fan following of srk.
