Amitabh Bachchan gets High Court notice

Amitabh Bachchan is in legal hassle as Bombay High Court yesterday issued a notice to him for allegedly violating Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). A city journalist named Nirmal Thakur filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against Amitabh saying Bachchan allegedly indulged in foreign currency transaction without the mandatory permission of the Reserve Bank of India. Thus, he violated FEMA.After hearing the PIL filed by a journalist A Division Bench of Chief Justice Swatanter Kumar and Justice S C Dharmadhikari issued the notice and CBI inquiry into the alleged violation of FEMA.
