The latest release from the stable of the all powerful Yash Raj banner, JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM, has had a mixed outcome in the Overseas, during its first weekend.
While JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM has collected a very ordinary $455,257 in the US (with a print average of just $5,485), but thanks to the presence of popular stars like Amitabh, Abhishek and Bobby Deol, the movie has fared much better, collecting $522,409 (with a healthy print average of $11,115) in the UK. What is interesting to note is that JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM follows the trend of Yash Raj’s last release, TA RA RUM PUM.
As may be recalled, JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM was expected to become the biggest Bollywood earner of 2007 in the UK. However, it now looks difficult, if not impossible, that it will be able to beat the UK record of the Akshay Kumar starrer NAMASTEY LONDON
